    OBJECTIVES:

Create a two-sided folding brochure. Use full bleeds, qualityimages and resolutions, and incorporate a 250-word message.

    PROCESS:

For the front of this NewAge Brochure, I used my HamiltonRealty logo, putting contact information at the bottom. Thered tab on the side repeats the red color and carries us tothe inside, where I showcase four homes I have for sale.

The back of the brochure shows a picture of me withmy bio. Using the quick selection tool in Adobe Pho-

toshop, I removed the background of the image, then used the rene mask dialogue box to smooth,

feather, shift edge and apply contrast to the out-line of the image.

I then placed the image into InDesignwhere I used the text wrap option to

wrap my text around the alphachannel of the image.

    OBJECTIVE:

To create a letterhead with a new logo design, using the basictools of Illustrator.

Once the logo was created I positioned it in the top left cornerof my letterhead. Then I created a red box and put along

the bottom of the page and typed my contact information, using white type for contrast.

To nish, I created a new document in InDesign andplaced my letterhead design there.

    COURSE:

    OBJECTIVE:

To create a variety of logos to t a company using the basic toolsof illustrator.

    PROCESS:

For this project I chose to do logos for Hamilton Realty. For twoof the logos I used shapes, and for the other I found new fonts

on the internet that I thought expressed my personality.

It was a fun challenge learning the basic tools of Illustrator. The most challenging part was guring out how to put dots

around in a circle: going to the window tab, choosing astroke with a weight of 4 and making a dashed line with

a 6 pt dash and an 8 pt gap. Those numbers had tobe adjusted with the size of the circle. It tool a lot of

experimenting, but it was so rewarding to nallygure it out!

desaturated everything but the focus area, creatingbetter contrast.

Using the Smart Sharpening Filter, I masked andapplied the Gaussian Blur. Then I applied a New

Adjustment Layer, and desaturated the imagegradually from 100% down to 10%.

    COURSE:

    Comm 130, Section 4

    OBJECTIVES:

To create a montage using Photoshop layers and lters, blending images together smoothly, using masks.

    PROCESS:

Using photos I took with my digital camera, I set the picture ofthe Grand Tetons as the background and placed the school on

top with a second level and masked out the sky.

I blended Kyler into the left side of the image and bumpedup the saturation and vibrance of the mountains to makethem more blue. I found a texture to put on the very top

layer and applied the darker color blending mode tobring the whole project together. I also put a slight

textured lter on top of the textured image.

For the quote I emphasized the word changewith a larger script font. Finally, I created

a rounded rectangle shape to help thesmaller, contrasting text to stand out

    against the background.
