Day Camp OverviewCAMP SCHEDULEHalf-Day: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm • Full-Day: 9:00 am - 4:00 pmFree Extended Care for Full-Day only: 7:00 am - 9:00 am & 4:00 pm - 6:00 pmFull Day Pick up and Drop off: In lower parking lot of the DecaturYMCA for full day. Half Day - Walk In Drop off and Pick up: in theMcKoy Room. Late drop off is at the camp office from 9:30-10:00 am.Campers will not be admitted to camp past 10:00 am without approvalfrom the camp director. Pick up is NOT permitted from 3:30-4:00 pm.Please contact the camp director for early pick up.

CARING, TRAINED COUNSELORS: Our counselors have a mandatory background check and receive First Aid & CPR training. Weare a drug free workforce. Camp staff go through training on child abuseprevention, how to discipline, how to keep kids engaged, child behaviormanagement, group games, risk management, bully prevention, etc.

YMCA MEMBERSHIP: Camp fees are noted for YMCA facility members(MEM) and program members (PRO). Facility members enjoy reducedrates as a benefit of membership. For those who wish to participate inYMCA programs without use of the facility, a YEARLY Program Memberfee of $40/family is required in addition to fees for your programs ofchoice. YMCA facility membership must remain current throughoutthe summer to qualify for the facility member rates.

GENERAL INFORMATION:• Half Day campers should pack 1 snack & lunch daily.• NO NUT PRODUCTS ALLOWED.• All full-day campers should pack 2 snacks and lunch daily. • All campers should only wear sneakers.• Frosty Fruit Slushies available daily for half-day and full-day campers for $2 daily or $9/week. CASH ONLY/ EXACT AMOUNT PLEASE. Not available for camps offsite.• Pizza day is available for purchase for $3 for all half-day and full-day camps. CASH ONLY/EXACT AMOUNT. Due by Wednesday.• Do not bring: toys, cell phones/electronic devices, money or playing/ trading cards, etc.• The Y will not be responsible for lost, broken or stolen items.• An informational email will be sent a week prior to each camp session• Immunization form is REQUIRED to register.

PAYMENT INFORMATION: We accept VISA,Amex, MasterCard, and Discover. Camp may be paid infull at the time of registration or set up on autocharge. Here are some friendly camp payment reminders:• $25 Deposit per week per child (nonrefundable)• Please view balance due dates for auto charge.• ALL REGISTRATIONS are online at ymcaregistration.com.• Financial assistance information is available through member services and must be applied for and accepted February 1 through April 15.• There is a one time $25 cancellation fee and/or transfer fee/camper/session to cover processing.• Any parent or guardian with a past due balance will not be allowed to continue to register his or her camper(s) for additional weeks until the balance is paid in full.• There will be additional charges for returned checks.• Parents of children dismissed from camp for behavioral problems will not receive a refund.• We do not deduct absences from your fee because the space is reserved.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We will be accepting applications starting February 1, 2016 and they areawarded on a first come, first served basis. Metro Atlanta YMCA branches actively seek to reduce YMCAfees for those in need. Summer Camp financial aid islimited and takes two weeks to process. *Please complete your application in full with all necessarysupporting documents and submit it as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: Submitting your applicationdoes not guarantee you financial aid or your preferredcamp sessions. Download a camp financial aid form atwww. ymcaatlanta.org or stop by the Y and pick oneup at Membership. Financial Aid approval must beprocessed before Summer Camp registration. We willstop taking applications after April 15.

HALF-DAY CAMPS ages 3-5 All campers must be potty trained!Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 1:00 pmFees: MEM: $75 PRO: $105

Tumbling Tikes: Campers will learn differentskills weekly and work on improving old onesusing the beam, bars, floor, vault, tumbletrack and rings. Campers will also participatein arts & crafts, obstacle courses and valuetime in addition to daily gymnastics. Weeks: 1-5 & 7-10

Splish Splash: This camp will have 30 minutes of pike/eel level swim lessons daily.Please send your child in their swim suit andpack a change of clothes. Campers will havewater time in the morning in our little outsidepools. Arts & crafts and value time will alsobe a part of weekly activities. Weeks: 1-5 & 7-10

Little All Stars: Run on over and spend eachday experiencing a different sport. Monday–Soccer; Tuesday– Basketball; Wednesday–Swimming; Thursday– Gymnastics; Friday– T-ball. Learn basic skills while having a fun time.Weeks: 1-5 & 7-10

Little Scientist: Come explore the world ofscience. Campers will have different hands-onscience experiments each day. Each week willhold a different theme. Please send your childin appropriate clothing. Parents are encouraged to attend the science fair onFriday at 12:30 pm to see what their kidslearned each week. Weeks: 1-3

Little Builders Camp: This camp will spendthe week building things out of Legos, boxesand other craft supplies. Each week camperswill build things out of different materials.Weeks: 4, 5 & 7

Little Artist Camp: Bring out the creative side in your child.Campers will participate in daily arts & crafts projects andlearn about different styles of art. Make sure to send yourchild in appropriate clothing. There will be an art show everyFriday in the hallway of the lobby. Parents are encouraged tocome at 12:30 for the show. Weeks: 8-10

Jedi Camp: The force is strong in your child! Come and gothrough Jedi training. Learn the ways of the force… practicewith your light sabers and go through the Jedi agility course.Children will also participate in arts & crafts, story time andvalue time. Parents, meet in the Y entrance on Fridays at12:30 pm for the Jedi parade. Weeks: 1-3

Princess & Pirate Camp: Learn how to be a proper princess& pirate. Princesses will learn to spin, curtsey & wave whilehaving their nails, hair & make up done. Pirates willlearn how to move handsomely (quickly) on a scavengerhunt, obstacle course and more. Story time, artsn' crafts and games, too. Parents, come Fridays at 12:30 pm for the princess &pirate parade. Weeks: 4, 5 & 7

Superhero Camp: Fly into action with yourfellow super heroes! This action-packedcamp will have “water day” on Tuesdayand Thursday (wear your swim suit), obstacle courses, arts & crafts & storytime. Wear your outfit to camp! Parentscome Fridays at 12:30 pm for the superhero parade. Weeks: 8-10

Preschool Camps

What to Wear/Bring:• Bring lunch & a snack daily. No nut products!• Splish Splash: wear a swim suit daily; pack a change of clothes.• Jedi &Super Hero Campers, wear a swim suit on Tuesday & Thursday and pack a change of clothes.

Arts & Crafts ages 5-9: Come explore your creative side!Campers will do daily arts & crafts projects and a group project. Every Friday at 3:15 pm there will be an art show forparents to attend in the Y lobby. Campers will swim on W/F.Please send kids in clothes that can get messy. Campers willalso have an opportunity to do general camp activities.

Triple Threat Gymnastics ages 5-12: Campers will participate in gymnastics, dance & cheerleading daily.Campers will be split into groups based on their gymnasticsskill level. Campers will swim on Fridays. There will be a parent performance on Fridays at 3:15 pm in the gym.

Jr. Swim ages 5-12: For kids who want to learn how to swim -not for children who can swim without a flotation device.Campers will have swim lessons for 45 min. daily & have 45min. of free swim. General camp activities will also take place.

Sr. Swim ages 5-12: For kids who are able to swim 1 lengthof the pool without a flotation device. Campers will haveswim lessons for 45 min. daily & have 45 min. of frees swim.General camp activities will also take place.

Golf Camp ages 7-12: Come and learn how to play golf or improve on your current abilities. Golfers will work on putting, chipping, wedge play and full swing. Classes will takeplace at the Charlie Yates Golf Course in the afternoon.Campers will swim on Monday and Wednesday mornings.When campers are not playing golf they will participate insports camp activities. Wolves Soccer ages 6-12: Former & current players will coach and administer skill-building games. Fundamentals, rules, and techniques will be emphasized during the week while playing games. Soccer will takeplace offsite at Patillo Field from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm. After soccer, camper will participate in general campactivities back at the Decatur Y. Teens Camps

TEEN CAMPS ages 13-15Monday - Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Teen Advanced Leadership Programs (ALA)This program is designed to take teens through the differentstages of leadership and preparing them to possibly be a future Y camp counselor or to work in another department inthe Y. Each level helps teens develop different leadershipskills: go on college tours, write to colleges of their choice,participate in volunteer projects, presentations on life skillsand much more. Navigation ages 13 - 14: This camp will be held onsite andoff site. Teens will have the opportunity to give back to theircommunity with weekly service projects, strengthen theirleadership skills by taking weekly leadership classes and participate in fun outings. Weeks 2 - 9 • MEM: $170 PRO: $200

Advanced Leadership Camper (ALC) age 14: To become apart of this program, teens must apply for the program inJuly 2016 (1st - 31st) and come to interviews. This is ayear round program and teens will meet once a month for amandatory Impact Club meeting held on Saturdays at 1:00p.During the summer, teens will participate in camp activitieshalf of the time and participate in leadership competencyclasses during the other half of the time. This group willtravel to 3 colleges and tour them during the summer.

Leader In Training (LIT) age 15: To become a part of this program, teens must apply for the program in July 2016 (1st- 31st) and come to interviews. This is a year round programand teens will meet once a month for a mandatory Impactclub meeting held on Saturday at 1:00p. This group will alsohave an overnight retreat where they will gain additionaltraining for the summer. LIT's will also become CPR certifiedthrough the YMCA. During the summer teens will assist in allaspects of camp. Program goal is to prepare them to becomea camp counselor when they turn 16.
