End of Year
Contributions
The end of 2013 is just around the corner. Is
your church “2013 pledge” up to date? If you
aren’t sure, call or email the church office and
we will check it for you. All contributions to NHCC must be in the
office by December 31st to be counted for the 2013 tax year. This
will allow us to get your annual giving statements to you in Janu-
ary (and keep NHCC honest with the IRS).
Perhaps you have received an end-of-the-year “windfall”. Why not
give some of it to the church instead of to the tax man?
Dear New Hope,
It is with great appreciation and a bit of sadness that I write this letter. I am so grateful to each and every one of you for your support, grace, and love throughout these last 5 ½ years. You have picked me up when I was down, you have inspired me by your incredible service, and most importantly you have taught me what it means to be a good minister in service to Christ in this world. The truth is I would not be the leader, preacher, or pastor that I am today without all of you. It is because of you, I now have an incredible opportunity to serve another congregation.
Please know I love all of you and will miss you more than you will ever know. Even though I will be serving another congregation, you will always be in my thoughts and prayers; and I can’t wait to here about all of the incredible things that God will continue to do through New Hope Christian Church.
Love,
Josh Rev. Joshua Leu

Stewardship Thought
As we give in this week’s offering, we
stand on God’s promises that the Lord
will cause His blessings to come upon
us as the windows of Heaven are open.
Open over our lives today all the win-
dows of blessings and super-natural re-
sources. Let it be more than we can
handle.
“The Lord will command the blessing
on you in your storehouses and in all to
which you set your hand, and He will
bless you in the land which the Lord
your God is giving you.
Deuteronomy 28:8

Christmas Special
Offering On Sunday, December 22nd, NHCC will
again receive contributions to the annual
Christmas Special Offering. All of the
Christmas Offering monies stay in the
Oklahoma Region. And are used to sup-
port our summer camps for youth and
children, the Regional Staff, the Commis-
sion on Clergy, the Search and Call Pro-
cess (which will help NHCC in seeking a
new pastor), Annual Leadership Training
School and many other ministries of the
Oklahoma Region.
Please be as generous as you are able to
be in your Christmas offering, realizing
this is “over and above” giving to NHCC.
What Gifts Shall We Bring?
Thank You!
The children of New
Hope thank you so much
for your help with their
Christmas Service Pro-
ject. A total of 111
Christmas cards were
collected and sent off to the State Capitol to
be delivered to the recovering Soldiers at
Reynolds Army Hospital at Fort Sill and we
could not have done it without your help.
Again, thank you!
Save Your Box Tops Remember, to save the Box Tops for Edu-
cation that are on many grocery items.
Place them in the box in the Narthex and
our Morning CWF Ladies will see that
they are delivered to a local school. Each
Box Top for Education provides 10 cents
to the school. Every little bit helps.
And Your Cancelled
Postage Stamps The ladies also collect used postage
stamps. These provide money for mis-
sions. Leave a 1/4” border around the
stamp when you cut it off the envelope
and place it in the box in the narthex.
Food Pantry
Sundays The first Sunday of each
month is Food Pantry Sun-
day at NHCC. Bring non-perishable food
items—or a few dollars for the special offering
that is taken. These are then passed along to
a local food pantry to help folks who are at risk
of going hungry.
Why not pick up an extra item or two when
you are buying your own groceries—or skip
one soda a day and give that money. It’s a
small way to “pay it forward” in response to all
of God’s many blessings.

New Hope Talent Show
On January 26th, at 6:00p.m., the Evangelism
Committee will sponsor a talent show at New
Hope.
So get out your dancing shoes, or dust off that
piece of music, or maybe you need to brush up
on your Shakespearian Soliloquy. What ever
your special talent, prepare to share it with
your New Hope Family….and be a part of this
special evening.
Special Note:
If you plan to enter the talent show and would
like Brad to accompany you, he will be available
at the church on Sunday January 19th from
2:30-3:30pm and Saturday January 25th from
2:00-3:00pm. No need to make an appointment,
just show up on one of those days/times if you
need Brad to play for you so you can practice.
Also, please don't forget to bring your music
with you to your rehearsal. If you do not have
the music, you might check out the following
website (or a similar one) where you can pur-
chase and download the music:
www.sheetmusicdirect.com."
Save the Date As soon as you get your new calendar
for 2014, be sure to circle Saturday, Feb-
ruary 1st.
That is the date of the Annual Leader-
ship Training School presented by the
Christian Church in Oklahoma at First
Christian Church in Oklahoma City.
This is an opportunity to learn new
things or be reminded of things you
knew but had forgotten in church organ-
ization and leadership and spiritual
growth.
A list of available classes and teachers
will be printed here as soon as it be-
comes available, in the meantime, be
sure to Save the Date!
Christmas Greetings New Hope has received lovely Christmas
Cards from Virginia Gage, Jo Hart and Wes
and Marilyn Collier. They are posted on the
