What An Awesome Christmas Giveaway We Had!!! Last Saturday groups from St. Stephen’s, St. Ann’s, Holy Cross and Project Head Start came together
to help provide Christmas for 129 families and 322 of their children. Each family received a gift certificate to HEB for both their Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. Then each child received a
complete set of new clothing (including shoes and jackets) and several toys that the parents could pick up for them. Special thanks to Helping Hands volunteer Julie Schwalbach and her husband (and Helping Hands
board president) Joe Schwalbach for providing pizza and drinks for all of the workers. The youth from St. Ann’s did a fabulous job with staging the event! We
thank the parishioners from St. Stephen’s for providing the clothing and one toy per child, and to St. Ann’s for their
usual extraordinary toy donation! Thank you, Father Tim, for organizing the youth groups! And special thanks to Midland
Memorial Hospital for helping provide
clothing for the kids. It was just awesome!
