What did I yell about? I told them about

celebrations we’ve had as a national area and then

admitted I’ve been in a post national slump. I

talked about the joy of building directors and the

frustration of not having a new director since last

March. I acknowledged the power of climbing the

MK career path and the confusion when looking

for “after National” victories.

And I finished off shouting to the rooftop

that our IT Area has an audacious 6 year goal to

grow to 50 strong directors. I’m looking for

leaders. That’s what gives me joy, and in the

interim, our battle plan is to have 400 star

consultants this year, and at Seminar, my National

seat cover is going to be GOLD. We’re still on

TARGET for GOLD INNER CIRCLE in our first

year as a National Area. We are DOING IT!

Dear Scintillating Superstars,

I had a seat cover…it was purple and it

said NSD next to my name! I had an IT Area

dinner at an authentic, famous Mexican

restaurant, and we crammed in elbow to elbow

at our long table overflowing with homemade

salsas and chips and beans and rice and every

kind of fajita and burrito and taco imaginable. I

don’t know the names of all the desserts, but I

tried them all, and the puffy pastry with honey

and chocolate is on my favorite list.

I was in Houston at our first Leadership

Conference representing our IT National Area

and history was made because we were able to

bring 7 of our Future Directors with us.

Moments:

Following the number one National in the

company Barbara Sunden through the

hotel lobby to the National bus. They let

me on!

Sitting next to Gloria Mayfield Banks when

two make up artists helped us choose

the perfect new foundation shade. (In

case you want to know, she wears

Bronze 3.)

Going up and down 3 escalators and two

long hallways looking for the NSD

Hospitality Suite. (I finally just asked

security to take me there. )

Standing at the podium teaching at the

Harris/Miller Area Workshop. (Some of

my directors claim I was yelling???)

My Dream Corner… It’s March 5th and I’m walking into

the convention center in Sandwich, IL. The parking lot is

filled. This town has never seen so many pink Cadillacs and

MK cars. I can’t believe how many of you decided to

come. I’m overwhelmed just looking out at all of you. Our

area consultants fill a whole side. We’re wearing our RED

SHOES and looking hot in black and white. There are SO

MANY RED JACKETS the Nationals can’t believe they’re

all IT GIRLS. I Gotta Feelin’ it’s going to be a GOOD

GOOD DAY!
