What did we do? – Migrated SAP applications to totally new infrastructure – New HW for both Appl and DB servers– New OS for both Appl and DB servers– New Database (DB2 instead of Oracle)– New Storage and new storage connections– Each SAP application was a project – A Project could consist of 30 people plus infrastructure

technicians– The applications and team members with globally

distributed – Started Summer 2011– First Golive in Dec 2011– Completed by 2013-12-31

What did we achieve?

– 29 Successful Golives - Never missed a Golive

– Performance has dramatically improved

– Backup and restore times are remarkably less

– Storage reduction of 54 %

– New processes for ordering, installation and maintenance
