Before you get started, there are a few things tokeep in mind when preparing your nomination.

Start today – don’t wait until the last minuteto nominate.

Cover your bases – be sure to read the AwardsGuide, Selection Criteria and Conditions ofEntry carefully. Why not use the selectioncriteria as headings in your submission.

Tell us your story – what have you done? Howhave you achieved it? Consider using practicalexamples and demonstrate evidence to backup your nomination.

Mind your language – avoid using slang words,jargon or too many acronyms. Keep yourlanguage simple, clear and concise!

Final checks – don’t forget to proof read your nomination.

Students – why not ask your employer or teacher for honest feedback?

Aim high and think big – make your nomination stand out and remember that winning aVictorian Training Award means that youbecome an Ambassador representing Victoria.

Addressing the selectioncriteriaWhen writing your nomination, aim topresent information in a way that clearlyaddresses each award criteria. The judgingpanel will be looking for evidence of:

Criteria 3: Apprentice/trainee outcomesHow has your approach to training impactedpositively on individual apprentices and/ ortrainees? For example, you may consider:
