Introduction• Mechatronics is one of the ten emerging

technologies slated to transform the world.

• Growth in demand of products from mechatronics

sector is increasing exponentially.

• One of the sectors, where mechatronics has become

an integral part is the automotive sector. Companies

are increasingly looking to automate its

manufacturing processes and reduce manpower

costs.

• Today, there is an ongoing requirement to stay up-to-

date with the latest technologies and development

of software protocols in this sector.

• The term Mechatronics was coined from mechanics

and electronics. The term was used over 40 years

ago, when Japanese engineer Tetsuro Mori combined

the words "mechanical" and "electronic" to describe

the electronic control systems that Yaskawa Electric

Corp. was building for mechanical factory

equipment.

• The field of Mechatronics is the synergic combination

of mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer

science and information technology, which includes

control systems used to design products with built-in

intelligence.

• Today, Mechatronics is used all around us, from

computer hard drives and robotic assembly systems to

washing machines, coffee makers, and medical devices.

• Electronics that control mechanical systems account for

much of the value of the average automobile,

managing everything from stability control and antilock

brakes to climate control.

• There is a lot of scope for Mechatronics Engineering as

it incorporates the ideas of electronics and mechanical

engineering into one entity.

• It is an emerging field and presents flexible

opportunities with diverse engineering backgrounds.

TESTIMONIALS OF STUDENTS

Four years at Mechatronics Engineering department, U.V.P.C.E. were nothing less than magic. It is not onlyabout the knowledge I gained here but the values I learned here. The infrastructure is one of the best inGujarat. The college offers both technical and non-technical knowledge. I have been a part of the techfestConvergence 3 years in a row and i thoroughly enjoyed it. I am sure these 4 yearswere the best years of mylife. : Rishabh Thakkar

“These 4years at Mechatronics Engineering, UVPCE have been the mostexciting days of my life both interms of academic and extra-curricular activities. Experienced professors, innovative curriculum, diverseelective courses and good friends have been the key benefits of this B tech program. Interaction with staff, faculty along with classmates is something I will hold on to and cherish forever . As after this I feel I have abroader perspective towards life and I can think beyond tracks ,It is all due tothe rigorous moulding I wentthrough in these 4 years at Mechatronics Engineering department..” :Ashish Taneja

“I have been a part of ganpat university for the four years. Ganpat university is a world tour in itself. Rightfrom the diploma to the post graduation you can see almost every educational field. The university is enrichedwith pleasing infrastructure which can not only provide a good space but also the area in which differentexperiments for each field of engineering be carried out. The co ordination between faculties and students isworth appreciating. There are various clubs which helps in the overall development of the students and I amproud to be a part of such organization which not only shaped my career but also helped in polishing my skillsto face the challenges in this corporate world..” :Dhruv Bhavsar

“Studying Mechatronics in Ganpat University has widened my perspective and has given me an idea of theimportance of Mechatronics in today’s world. Having studied here for 4 years,my interest in the subject hasdeepened and has helped me to grow better professionally & personally. I would liketo thank all the facultiesand staff for making me a “Better Person”.” :Havan Bhavsar

“4 years in around 300 acres of Ganpat University were congenial with the highly appreciable efforts byfaculty members not just for their quality teaching interests but also the right guidance they provide in highlyesteemed manner. The intangible efforts by the lab-assistants and co-operation of every member included inworshiping the aim of University makes the journey too small as well unforgettable. I would just like to thankmy university for giving me just not the good knowledge but lots of memories which is irreplaceable..” :Shantanu joshi

“Lots of opportunities given by U.V.P.C.E is really helpful to career building as well as obtaining real eratechnical experience. The support from college gave me the opportunity to put myself on the contemporarysociety in dealing with people and the situations around us. Finally, I felt healthy environment in which I waspossessed by knowledge and ethical values in applying the current technology in the real world.” :

"It's difficult to sum up the memories and experience of four years in few lines. These four years were the amazing years of my life in Mechatronics departmentat UVPCE. We were blessed with the best professors who guided us throughout. All the professors are very helpful and they guided us all the time. It was placewhere you are not criticized for your failure but your journey from failure tosuccess becomes a part of teachers’ life. I had spent my wonderful days of life inGanpat University. College have good infrastructure, library, instruments, professors and yeah! Friends. it has been unforgettable moments with friendsand professors..” : Jay Goswami

“All faculties of Mechatronics Department are very sincere, dedicated and easilyapproachable. A lecture plan is made for each subject and is sincerely followedthroughout the semester. If needed extra lectures are also arranged. In anutshell, measures are taken to make sure that the course is completed as perthe syllabus. The innovative assignments for each subject provide manyopportunities to students to come up with ideas that relate to the subject.Students can make use of these opportunities to initiate new projects andgradually proceed with them by combining and incorporating the concepts ofdifferent subjects into it. All faculties welcome and support such initiatives.” :Deep Dave
