DESCRIBING ECONOMIC TRENDS REPRESENTATION OF THE STOCK MARKET GRAPH The graph above illustrates the economic ups and downs covering the second half of the 20 th century, more precisely, from 1950 to 2000. Also, the purpose of this chart is to emphasize the fact in most of the election years, the stock market showed a significant increase. As you can see from the chart, the 1950s came with a rather modest start. Due to the recovery years after the II World War, the economy was soaring toping almost 150 in 1950. A slight increase in the stock market appeared in the first quarter of the 1950, coming close to 180 pts. Further on, a sharp increase in stocks took place, reaching as much as 380 pts in 1955. The stock took a fluctuant but gradual rise and the graph emphasizes the fact that during the middle of the 1960s, the stock reached as much as 500 pts.

REPRESENTATION OF THE STOCK MARKET GRAPH

The graph above illustrates the economic ups and downs covering the second half of the 20th century, more precisely, from 1950 to 2000. Also, the purpose of this chart is to emphasize the fact in most of the election years, the stock market showed a significant increase.

As you can see from the chart, the 1950s came with a rather modest start. Due to the recovery years after the II World War, the economy was soaring toping almost 150 in 1950. A slight increase in the stock market appeared in the first quarter of the 1950, coming close to 180 pts.

Further on, a sharp increase in stocks took place, reaching as much as 380 pts in 1955.

The stock took a fluctuant but gradual rise and the graph emphasizes the fact that during the middle of the 1960s, the stock reached as much as 500 pts.

The 1970s came with a decline, falling to almost 300 pts, but in 1973 the stock bounced back due to the fact that in election years the stock market leaps upward.

The middle 70’s show a souring downfall for the market, but after that came a few years in which the stock leveled off.

The first quarter of the 1980s present a deterioration, even sharper than the one in the 70’s. But the end of this decade market a plummeting in terms of the market due to political events that occurred at that time.

The beginning of the 1990s came with a decrease in stocks that came as a consequence of historic events that impacted the economy.

A steady increase came over the next 5 years and in the year 2000, stocks reached a peak of 1,600 pts. This amazing increase came due to the fact that the fact that the beginning of a new millennia made the economy bloom .
