1. INTRODUCTION Industries are basically meant for Production of useful goods and services at low production cost, machinery cost and low inventory cost. Today in this world every task have been made quicker and fast due to technology advancement but this advancement also demands huge investments and expenditure, every industry desires to make high productivity rate maintaining the quality and standard of the product at low average cost in an industry a considerable portion of investment is being made for machinery installation. So in this paper we have a proposed a machine which can perform operations like industrial applications as Cutting & Striking for pvc materials, steels, wooden blocks etc. & domestic application as Washing machine, Cell phone charging, Wet grinding & Indoor cycling for exercise. This project presents the concept of Human Powered Multi-Purpose Machine carried out for industrial and domestic purpose. The objectives of this machine are to reduce the human effort, human time and carry out the number of operation simultaneously. It is economically efficient .This machine can be used in remote places where electricity is irregular or insufficient. It is designed as a portable one. The machine is operated without any external energy like fuel or electric supply. Since machine uses no electric power and fuel, this is very cheap.

2. NEED OF DEVELOPMENT OF MACHINE In the present scenario machines are electrically driven. Machine with electric motor are faster but that are costly as well as required electricity. The unit operating by means of electricity has limited applications in the rural area. In remote and interior places like in our Vidarbha where there is no facility of electricity as well as in urban areas, while in the duration of load shading or during electrical power off timings, this type of human power operated unit will have very extensive utility. Therefore this human powered machine is having extensive utility in such areas. Also it reduces the machining equipment cost as three machines can be used simultaneously on same platform.

This project consists of a sprocket arrangement, the eccentric disc mechanism, the chain drive. In the mechanism, chain drive is directly connected between the primary shaft and secondary shaft, these both shafts are mounted on the primary stand and secondary stand. The flywheel and pedal arrangement is arrenged on the primary shaft. It should make use of standard bicycle parts wherever possible. The device should adapt easily to as many different bicycles as possible. No permanent structural modification should be made to the bicycle.

Though the device should be easy to take off the bicycle, it is assumed that it would usually remain attached to facilitate readiness and ease of transport from site to site. The device, therefore, should not interfere with the bicycle's transportation mode.

The broad stand, which provides stability during power production mode, can be flipped upward during the transport mode. This stand/carrier would be a permanent fixture of the dual-purpose bicycle.

The power take-off mechanism should be as efficient as possible, and should develop relatively high r.p.m. (close to 200) for versatility of application. We had seen designs for devices that take power from the rear tire by means of a friction roller pressed against it, but we had doubts about the efficiency of this arrangement. In order to improve efficiency we used hard bearing surfaces such as roller chains, sprockets and ball bearings. We decided that the most appropriate location for this power take-off mechanism would be at the front of the bike near the fork tube (see photographs).

Care must be exercised to insure that the power take-off assembly is far enough forward so as not to interfere with pedalling. Most standard adult bicycle frames have plenty of room for the power take-off mechanism and pulley. Power is supplied to the shaft by means of a chain from the bike's chain wheel (crank) to a ratcheted sprocket on the shaft. During the prime-mover mode, the bike's regular chain is slipped off of the chain-wheel, and the specially sized chain to the power take-off mechanism is slipped on.

The device should be able to transmit power to a variety of machines, and changing drive ratios should be as simple as possible. We decided that a V-belt and pulley arrangement would be most appropriate for this. Belts do not require the precise alignment that chains do. Belts can even accommodate pulleys that are slightly skewed with respect to each other. Changing drive ratios is as easy as changing pulleys. Also, belts are reasonably efficient.

The device should contain a ratcheting mechanism that would let the operator "coast " periodically to rest and conserve energy. A free wheel from any bicycle can be easily adapted for this purpose.

Excessive weight should be avoided, as durability is a prime consideration

Less tiring than conventional washing techniques by hand. This would greatly contribute in increasing the productivity of the manual laundries all over the world.

Lesser chances of failure than electronic washing machine as the mechanical systems used in the machine have stood the test the time.

More reliable: Due to simplicity of design the chances of failure are reduced drastically thus making the machine all the more reliable.

Lesser maintenance required: Maintenance of PPMPM involves mostly lubricating the various parts which can be done even at home so maintenance cost are drastically cut down.

Zero operating cost: Since the machine is manually driven.

Very effective in protecting the hands of washer men from the harmful effects of the chemicals in the detergents.

It would help to reduce the physical stress which is applied on the hands during washing clothes.

It encourages pedaling which is a good physical exercise and keeps oneself fit. A person now can easily wash

9. OBSERVATION We observed that in hacksaw assembly we get 50 strokes per minute and it can cut a 20mm to

30 mm diameter work piece of various materials like wood, pvc, plywood, hollow metal pipes and bars

We observe that using this machine we can generate up to 12 volt dc power and we can use it to run the small equipments like mobiles, laptops, lamps etc.

We observed that cam speed we attended is 50 rpm which is sufficient for performing the required striking operation.

We also oberved that the wet jar blades speed is more then 600rpm whish is sufficient for performing the required wet grinding operation.

We also obseved that the washing machione pully rotates with 120rpm sufficient for performing the required washing machine operation.

10. CONCLUSIONS We can see that all the production based industries wanted low production cost and high work rate, which is possible through the utilization of multi -function-operating machine. It requires less power as well as less time, since this machine provides working at different center it really reduced the time consumption up to appreciable limit. In the above literature review we see that pedal driven machins are used for driving the power hacksaw machines and it reduces need of electricity and ecofriendly in its working. It has to be understood that the washing machine which is a pedal driven machine, it satisfies the need of rural people by giving them an Alternative way of washing clothes which is quick, cost, -effective.

Unskilled labour can also handle it, efficientl because of this we can reduce the cost of production which is the most important factor in production industry. The system described above is being developed with these problems in mind. it is being designed with specific goals to make the greatest impact possible with multi tasks. low cost, portability, reliability, and ease of use are all essential to the success of the system. In this way we have concluded that the power is generated and which can be used to operate small power devices such as mobile, laptops, LED lights, charging units. Hacksaw assembly is used to cut the MS bar up to 20 mm diameter, PVC pipes, plywood etc.

There are two major principles on which our proposed machine works: To – Fro Motion: It converts rotary motion to reciprocating motion with the help of eccentric

And converts the rotary motion into 90 degress t grinding and washing machine.
