PPRC pipe features
•Leak-proof & airtight homogenous joints by fusion welding methods .
•Negligible head loss, Minimum Pressure loss & Higher Flow Rate due to smooth internal surface & homogenous joints.
•Inherited characteristic of high impact strength makes its suitable for industrial application at unskilled labor region.
•Wide Temperature range: -40C to +950C (suitable for both hot & cold).
•Very low thermal loss, as PPR-C is poor conductor of heat & condensation
•Trouble-free installation process & light in weight for transmit.
PPRC pipe features
•Exceptional corrosion & erosion resistance as PPRC is a polymer product, hence after installing PPRC just forget about corrosion problems & so it is a ideal product for various Chemical & other Fluid transmit application.
• High chemical resistance power even at high temperature.
•Low Thermal Conductivity makes it an ideal Piping system where one needs to Control & Maintain the Temperature. Indeed it has the lowest Thermal Conductivity compared to any other polymers.
•Anti-Fungal & Non-toxic product, free from the growth of any bacteria.
PPRC pipe features
•Long Service life, above 50 years over a wide temperature range.
•Highly economical as compared to G. I., C. I., M. S., PVC and also CPVC.
•PPR-C being an Eco-Friendly product does not catches fire straightforwardly, indeed in case of fire it doesn’t produce toxic gases.
•Superior Impact, Fracture Resistance & Minimum Crack Transmission
Polypropylene material information
The raw material PP-R is grouped into three classes according to the resistance against heat, compression and chemical characteristics.
Type-1 : PP-H – polypropylene homopolymerType-2 : PP-B – polypropylene block polymerType-3 : PP-R – polypropylene random co-polymer
Raw material type-3 has higher performance and superior qualities with respect to raw materials type-1 and type-2 from the points of physical and chemical characteristics.
Homopolymers –
General Purpose Grade that can be used in a variety of different applications.
Block copolymers-Incorporating 5-15% ethylene, have much improved impact resistance extending to temperatures below -20oC. Their toughness can be further enhanced by the addition of impact modifiers, traditionally elastomers in a blending process.
Random copolymers –incorporate co-monomer units arranged randomly along the polypropylene long chain molecule. Such polymers typically containing 1-7% ethylene are selected where a lower melting point, more flexibility and enhanced clarity are advantageous. Different PP grades are available dependent on the application and chosen processing method
Polypropylene material information
About Polypropylene
Polypropylene is an economical material that offers a combination of outstanding physical, chemical, mechanical, thermal and electrical properties not found in any other thermoplastic. Compared to low or high density polyethylene, it has a lower impact strength, but superior working temperature and tensile strength.Polypropylene possesses excellent resistance to organic solvents, degreasing agents and electrolytic attack. It has a lower impact strength, but it's working temperatures and tensile strength are superior to low or high density polyethylene. It is light in weight, resistant to staining, and has a low moisture absorption rate. This is a tough, heat-resistant, semi-rigid material, ideal for the transfer of hot liquids or gases. It is recommended for vacuum systems and where higher heats and pressures are encountered. It has excellent resistance to acids and alkalies, but poor aromatic, aliphatic and chlorinated solvent resistance.

welding method of pprc pipesCUTTING – 1-Cut pipe at right angle to its axis using burr-free cutter. 2-Ensure that pipe is free from burrs or cutting chips. 3-lean the pipe and fitting perfectly before welding 4-Mark welding depth at the end of pipe
HEATING – 1-Mount the suitable dies on heating element of welding machine according to the diameter of pipe and fitting to be welded. 2-Connect the welding machine to 220volts A.C.power supply. 3-Set temparature on welding machine thermostat. 4-Wait until the welding machine reaches the required working temp. 5-Insert the pipe and fitting in the dies by exerting light presssure.
WELDING –1-After heating quickly insert pipe into the fitting by exerting light pressure 2-Any misalignment should be corrected immediately after insertion to
Recommended time for pprc pipe joints
Avoid any stress in the weld.3-Allow the joints to cool as per cooling time .
