    DAY 01:Addis/ADD

    Welcome to Ethiopia! Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport,you will be welcomed and assisted by the staff of Amran Ethiopia Tour guide anddriver for the transfer to the Hotel. If your flight arrives in Addis Ababa duringthe morning , after taking a nap your expedition will start on city tour of AddisAbaba, starting your tour from the Trinity Cathedral, continues to visit the

    National Museum (archaeological and historical), which has thebest collection of Ethiopian antiquities and archaeologicaldiscoveries, including the famous oldest hominid Lucy. We thenvisit the Ethnological Museum, which was the former palace ofHaile Selassie; then drive up to Mt. Entoto, the highest part of thecapital, where you will have a panoramic view over the town ofAddis Ababa; a visit to the adjacent church of St. Mary; a drivedown to the biggest open air market in East Africa called Mercato.O/n stay at the chosen hotel.

    DAY 02: Addis Ababa/ADD - Bahir Dar/BJR

    After an early breakfast at the hotel, the journey will start drivingto the northern part of Ethiopia Bahir Dar. En-route you will visit thereligious centre: the monastery of 13th century Debre Libanos and16th century bridge built by the Portuguese which is still in use. O/n

    stay in the chosen hotel.

    DAY 03:Bahir Dar/BJR

    Bahir Dar is a pleasant city located at 1,800 meters

    above sea level on the shores of Lake Tana, the largestlake in Ethiopia. After breakfast you will have a boatcruise on the Lake Tana which is dotted with 37 islandshosting some enthralling 13th century churches,monasteries, monuments and archaeological treasures. Ofparticular interest, is Dek Stephanos, which has a treasuryof priceless religious icons, and is the burial place ofseveral medieval emperors, including Yekuno Amlak andFasilidas. Once here, the monasteries that you are goingto visit include Kibran Gebriel, Ura Kidane Mihret andAzua Mariam-which are renowned for their typical

    colourful Ethiopian religious paintings, illuminatedmanuscripts, and other ancient church treasures.

    In the afternoon you will take 35 KM drive to visit themajestic Blue Nile Falls. 30 KM after it exits Lake Tana,the Blue Nile plunges over a 45m-high face to form one ofthe most spectacular waterfall in Africa. Walking to thefall through the beautiful river gorge on the ancientbridge from the 17th century, and meeting the localpeople at the small villages on the way to the fall is also agreat experience.

    DAY 04:Bahir Dar/BJR - Gondar/GDQ

    After having breakfast, an early drive of 180km on well constructedasphalt road through the beautiful countryside scenery will take us toGondar, a drive from Bahir dar to Gondar takes only 2 hrs. While wedrive we pass along side many Amhara people villages surrounded byfarm lands; this gives you a chance to see peoples activities on theirfarm like ploughing with pair of oxen, winnowing and trashing what theyharvested in a very old manner. Gondar, a town on the lower slopes ofthe Simien Mountains northwest of Ethiopia, is home to many old-fashioned castles, palaces and beautifully constructed and decoratedchurches.

    After check in to Hotel you will explore theancient city and its famous sites including:The Royal Enclosure (UNESCO WorldHeritage Site), a walled compound having 6different castles built from 17th century bydifferent kings who ruled in different times,the pool of King Fasilidas which still servesas a baptismal pool during Ethiopian

    Epiphany and we will also visit the famousDeberberhan Sillassie(The light of Trinity) which is located at the summitof a hill and surrounded by fortifiedwalls. The interior is adorned withbeautiful frescos.Later, drive to the Jewish village called Welaka, 6Kmaway from Gonder. O/n in the chosen hotel.

    DAY 05:Gondar/GDQ Axum/AXU

    Have an early break fast and continue to drive to Axum. En-route youwill be able to see the beautiful land escape of semen mountain. The

    journey will take full day drive: Up on arrival transferred to Hotel.

    DAY 06:Axum/AXU

    After breakfast the tour will startvisiting the Ancient and very historic town

    of Axum .Hear you will see the most outstandingchurch of the 16th century Cathedral of St. Mary ofZion, considered to be Ethiopia's holiest site andbelieved to house the original Ark of the Covenant.The town steeped in more than 2500 years of history the royal graves of King Kaleband Gabre Meskel, the 54 room ruins of a palace that supposedly housed the Queen of

    Sheba, and her legendary Bath. Also you will look out that is still legible early 4thcentury stone-pillar inscription, made on account of King Ezana's victory overrebellious tribes. Later, you will visit the stelae: granite monoliths dating from pre-Christian times and decorated with symbolic engravings. The stelae are elaboratelycarved and the erection of these massive pillars remains a mystery. The largest ofthese stelae (33m) collapsed centuries ago.The tallest obelisk, which is over 23 mtall, was looted from Ethiopia and erected in Rome by Mussolini's fascist troops duringtheir brief occupation of the country from 1936 to 1941. After decades of debate andcontroversy, the monolith was finally returned to Axum in April 2005. The relic is nowEthiopia's greatest historic attraction.

    DAY 07:Axum/AXU- Addigrat

    In the morning you will continue to drive toAdigrat .When you drive by you will visit Yehatemple and and Debre Damo church.Yeah is the 5th Century BC temple. Its isknown for its massive walls house,Judaic relics and historic artefact. .Debre Damo, is the oldest monastery ofthe nation which dates back to the early

    Axumite times is said to have the oldestexisting intact church in Ethiopia, is(closed to Women). Local tradition saysthat Abune Aregawi, one of the nineSaints, built the church in the 16thCentury. The Monastery of Debre Damocan only be reached by rope pulley. En-route you willsee the Adwa Mountain where the last war has beentaken between Italian and Ethiopia.O/n in thechosen hotel.

    DAY 08:Addigrat- Mekele/MQX

    En-route Negash Mosque, kirkose church and AbrahaAsbaha will be visited. O/n in the chosen hotel

    DAY 09:Mekele/MQX

    On this day you will have a city tour to visit themuseum and the palace of former King Ats Yohanes. O/nin the chosen hotel.

    DAY 11: Lalibela/LLI

    After breakfast, you will drive to the site where we find a concentrationof some of Ethiopia most famous rock-hewn churches, mostly referred bymany as living wonders of the world. The monolithic churches werecarved out of 2,600-sq meter natural rock terrace in the 12-century.ADby king Lalibela.Lalibela, located south of Axum, was the seat of the Zagwe dynasty that

    rose around the 12th century. Lalibela lies camouflaged against thelandscapes dominated by Mount Abuna Yosef that rises to 4,200 m. The

    11 churches of Lalibela were hewn from the pink granite bedrock of theRoha Mountain. This morning is dedicated to visit the first group ofchurches, known as the Northern Group of Churches of Rock Hewnchurches which are six in number, namely: Bet Medhane Alem-House ofthe Redeemer, is a replica of the Axumite St. Mary of Zion cathedral andis said to be the largest church in the world, supported by 72 pillars andhouses the 7kg (15 lbs) gold Lalibela Cross. We go through a tunnel fromBet Medihanialem to Bet Mariam, in which there is a pillar that it is saidthat Jesus Christ leaned against when he appeared in a vision to KingLalibela. Bet Mariam -House of Mary was dedicated to Mary the mother ofChrist.

    Bet Danaghel- a chapel built in honour of martyred nuns. Bet Golgotha

    and Bet Mika'el are twin churches and many believe that a visit to Bet

    Golgotha alone can guarantee your place in heaven! The twin churches

    also contain many important religious items and some of the best

    examples of early religious art in the country. Bet Mika'el is also known

    as (Bet Debre Sina). The last church you are going to visit before lunch

    will be Bet Giyorgis-the Church of St. George, is a World Heritage Site;

    it is the most famous of the Lalibela churches, in addition to being the

    best preserved and having the finest architectural finish. In the

    afternoon you will visit the Eastern Rock Hewn Churches which are fivenamely: Bet Gabriel, Bet Rufa'el, Bet Merkorios, Bet Aamanuel and Bet

    Abba Libanos. O/n in the chosen hotel.

    DAY 12: Lalibela/LLI

    On this day you will have an excursion tour to the marvellous

    houses of worship with equally unique workmanship that are found40 km away from Lalibela town, here you will see a church built

    under a natural cave named Nakutelab Rock Hewn Church. Finally,

    you will have a mule excursion at Yimeran Kiristos monastery. O/n

    in the chosen hotel.

    DAY 13:Lalibela/LLI- KombolchaDrive to kombolcha. O/n in the chosen hotel.

    DAY 14: Kombolcha Addis Ababa

    The last day of your journey will end up driving back to Addis Ababa. Up on arrival

    transferred to your hotel for rest, If their is any available time you will do some

    shopping.

    In the evening, there will be a special Ethiopian farewell dinner party with

    traditional buffet and local drinks. There will also be a live cultural dance show of thedifferent ethnic groups living in the country. There will not be any better way of

    ending a trip. Finally transfer to the air port for departure.
