Detectaplast is a range of professional wound care for the food industry, catering and kitchens.

The dressings and bandages are compliant with the European HACCP regulation, which requiresthat in the food industry and the kitchens, only detectable wound dressings and bandages can be used.

Detectaplast products are detectable visually (by their blue colour) as well as electromagnetically(by built-in metal strips) and if necessary by X-Ray.

Apart from the standard sizes and forms listed on the following pages, Ortho Medic Carealso produces any other kind of wound dressings and bandages, under private label.

Detectaplast® HACCP

Detectaplast Universal wound dressings are made of polyethelene (PE), a strong and waterproof plastic.

The hypoallergenic acryl glue sticks perfectly, in every circumstance.

Under the wound pad is an aluminium film that allows electromagnetic detection.

Detectaplast Premium wound dressings are made of polyurethane (PU), a strong and waterproof plastic. It is micro-perforated and elastic, to allow working in complete comfort.

Detectaplast Elastic wound dressings are made of elastic textile fabric, containing 70% viscose and 30% polyamide.



The X-Ray wound dressing is not just electromagnetically detectable, but also by X-ray technology.
