Manipulation of the original Images

This original image was taken outsideso the lighting meant thatmanipulation would be needed. Thestudent looks happy and wellpresented, which is a goodrepresentation of the Sixth Formcommunity.

I used blur tool on the background toput emphasis on the model in theforeground. I used brightness andcontrast levels to darken her hair andmake her features more prominent.

Manipulation of the original Images

This image is of the Student Council. Iused a mixture of males and females sothat there was no bias. This appears onthe contents page in the “every month”section to accompany the page number,title and quote from this article, whichhas an image on the contents page toshow that it is an important feature

I used blur tool on the background andadded brightness to make the image lookmore vibrant and positive. As there wassun shining on the one of the student’sfaces, I used the burn and dodge tools toeven out the shadow on his face.

Inserting images and boxesThis is the basic layout of mycontents page. The colour schemeof purple and green continues fromthe cover so that it looks realistic. Allthe boxes are in line with each otherand the spaces are even to make itlook neat and professional.

Adding the Text

Firstly I added the subheadings for the two sections of contents and the text for the two main articles that have images. All text is neatly arranged and in line to look professional and only one font is used. I added a small flash to accompany one of the contents to advertise to the audience that the feature is new and exciting.
