The Majhila is very interior village of Shahjahanpur district. In spite of being attached with road from both sides, it is much undeveloped because it is situated between two big rivers Garra and Khannout. Every year heavy flood ruined it in all aspect. Therefore mostly villagers are interested in towns for their lives. No any development schemes are going on properly in this village. Whole village is covered with garbage, wastage of animals and filth scattered all around in the village. Due to all of this the hygienic condition of this village is also very poor. Thinking all about it, this year under DFC Campaign we decided work on this problem with the title Best from Waste (Garbage to Fertilizer). Heap of filth in Majhila

We felt that the condition of our village is so much dirty because the unawareness of villagers. Govt. machineries are also equally responsible for it as they have never introduced the villagers about

different schemes through which they can utilize the rubbish for their benefit. Therefore we decided to help them for its utilization with the help of our EVS learning.

We knew that because of unawareness people will not cooperate us. Hence for it we shall run some

awareness programmes among them.

First of all we discussed about our planning with parents of our school’s students.

We told them that we shall demonstrate before the community that how can the wastage may be changed into fertilizers.

After hearing our planning they have become very excited.

They promised that they are always with us in this campaign.

First of all we took a round of whole village with community and fixed some points where we may utilize the wastages by changing them in to fertilizer.

Through rallies we have spread the awareness among the villagers that how they can utilize the wastages and keep clean their village too.

We also reached door to door to know the thoughts of people regarding our campaign.We made understand the people about our planning and request them to join it.

To set an example before the community we started to dig the pitsWe also started to collect the wastages from here and there to store I those pits. All the process of compost formation was done by us before the villagers.

Seeing our efforts the villagers have started to come with us. Every person was appreciating this unique effort. They have also decided that among every 10 houses a pit will be prepared, in which the villagers will store the wastages.Pradhan has promised that next week he will call a specialist from block who will give a proper training for Gobar Gas Plant and Compost farming.
