Proyecto de resolución

Día Internacional de la Amistad

La Asamblea General,

Recordando las metas y los objetivos de su Declaración 1 y Programa de Acción 2 sobre

una Cultura de Paz y el Decenio internacional de una cultura de paz y no violencia para

los niños del mundo 3, así como todas sus resoluciones pertinentes,

Reconociendo la pertinencia y la importancia de la amistad como sentimiento noble y

valioso en la vida de los seres humanos de todo el mundo,

Teniendo presente que la amistad entre los pueblos, los países, las culturas y las

personas puede inspirar iniciativas de paz y presenta una oportunidad de tender puentes

entre las comunidades, honrando la diversidad cultural,

Afirmando que la amistad puede contribuir a los esfuerzos de la comunidad

internacional, de conformidad con la Carta de las Naciones Unidas, por promover el

diálogo entre las civilizaciones, la solidaridad, la comprensión mutua y la

reconciliación,

Convencida de la importancia de implicar a los jóvenes y a los futuros líderes en

actividades comunitarias encaminadas a fomentar la inclusión de las distintas culturas y

el respeto entre ellas, promoviendo a la vez la comprensión internacional, el respeto de

la diversidad y una cultura de paz, de conformidad con la Declaración y el Programa de

Acción sobre una Cultura de Paz,

Observando que en muchos países se organizan cada año actividades, iniciativas y actos

relacionados con la amistad,

1. Decide designar el 30 de julio Día Internacional de la Amistad;

2. Invita a todos los Estados Miembros, las organizaciones del sistema de las Naciones

Unidas y demás organizaciones internacionales y regionales, así como a la sociedad

civil, incluidas las organizaciones no gubernamentales y las personas, a celebrar

apropiadamente el Día Internacional de la Amistad, de conformidad con la cultura y

otras circunstancias o costumbres apropiadas de sus comunidades

locales, nacionales y regionales, incluso mediante actividades educativas y de

concienciación pública;

3. Solicita al Secretario General que señale la presente resolución a la atención de todos

los Estados Miembros y organizaciones del sistema de las Naciones Unidas.

POR OTRO LADO, EN NUESTRO PAIS (PERU) POR INICIATIVA DE UNA

EMPRESA CERVECERA, SE HA PROPUESTO Y SE VIENE PROMOVIENDO EL

DÍA DEL AMIGO EL PRIMER SABADO DE JULIO.

NOS PARECE QUE LA INICIATIVA ES BUENA; SIN EMBARGO, ES

IMPORTANTE ESTAR CLAROS EN QUE LA AMISTAD NO ESTÁ

RELACIONADA NECESARIAMENTE, NI CONDICIONADA A LA BEBIDA

DENOMINADA CERVEZA, QUE ES UNA BEBIDA ALCOHOLICA NO

DESTILADA QUE SE FABRICA CON GRANOS DE CEBADA U OTROS

CEREALES; SEGUN WIKIPEDIA SU GRADUACION ALCOHOLICA PUEDE

ALCANZAR HASTA 30% EN VOLÚMEN, AUNQUE PRINCIPALMENTE SE

ENCUENTRA ENTRE 3% Y 9% EN VOLUMEN.

International Day of Friendship

The General Assembly,

Recalling the goals and objectives of its Declaration1 and Programme of

Action 2 on a Culture of Peace and the International Decade for a Culture of Peace

and Non-Violence for the Children of the World (2001-2010) ,3 and all its relevant

resolutions,

Recognizing the relevance and importance of friendship as a noble and valuable

sentiment in the lives of human beings around the world,

Bearing in mind that friendship between peoples, countries, cultures andindividuals can

inspire peace efforts and presents an opportunity to build bridges between communities,

honouring cultural diversity,

Affirming that friendship can contribute to the efforts of the international community, in

accordance with the Charter of the United Nations, towards the promotion of dialogue

among civilizations, solidarity, mutual understanding and reconciliation,

Convinced of the importance of involving youth and future leaders in community

activities aimed at the inclusion of and respect between different cultures, while

promoting international understanding, respect for diversity and a

culture of peace, in accordance with the Declaration and Programme of Action on a

Culture of Peace,

Noting that friendship-related activities, events and initiatives are observed

each year in many countries,

1. Decides to designate 30 July as the International Day of Friendship;

2. Invites all Member States, organizations of the United Nations system and other

international and regional organizations, as well as civil society, including non-

governmental organizations and individuals, to observe the International Day of

Friendship in an appropriate manner, in accordance with the culture and other

appropriate circumstances or customs of their local, national and regional

communities, including through education and public awareness-raising

activities;

3. Requests the Secretary-General to bring the present resolution to the attention of

all Member States and organizations of the United Nations system.

Further, in our country (Peru) by initiative of a brewery, has been proposed and are

being promoted the first saturday of july friend’s day .

We find that the initiative is good, however, it is important to be clear that the

friendship is not necessarily related, or conditioned to a drink named beer that is

an alcoholic beverage to be made with grain of barley and other cereals; according

to wikipedia its alcohol content is high as 30% in volume, although mainly found

between 3% and 9% in volume.

What is friendship?

according to the dictionary of the royal academy of the spanish language,

friendship is the personal affection pure and selfless, sharing with

another person which is born and is strengthened by the deal.

What is a friend?

also used as a noun as affectionate treatment, but may has not true friendship

the word amigo come of latin amicus, which comes from the verb amare (amar),
