4.6 million people in the UK have diabetes and someone is diagnosed every two minutes. With rapidly increasing numbers, we need strong leaders in primary care to positively impact patients' clinical outcomes, their personal wellbeing and NHS finances. This programme has been developed to support and grow local leaders to improve diabetes care. It is for any professional working in primary care with the enthusiasm, passion, and tangible ideas for improving diabetes care in their local area. It will enable clinicians to develop the skills needed to drive transformational change in diabetes care, and spread improvement beyond the consultation room and across practices. The programme will also be an opportunity for clinicians to identify both barriers and solutions to improving care, and network with colleagues from across the country. AccomodationThe programme will start at 11.30am on Tuesday 7 May and finishes at 6.30pm followed by a dinner. The following day, the course starts at 8.30 am on Wednesday 8 May.
