Staff CommentsLynn C., RT, Lead Specials Technologist

“I love the diversity of my job. Everyday is different and challenging. I love mentoring students and fellow technologists, I find it very rewarding. Patient interaction and feeling like we all make a difference is a huge part of our department personality. When a patient comes into our department they are treated like family. I have never felt more valued and respected for my 28 years of knowledge, experience and skills! My input is considered whether it’s hiring staff or new equipment purchases. It is a pleasure to know my manager is behind us all the way.

We are all a big family here- caring and supporting each other through life’s trials and tribulations. We all work well together and there is always laughter abound. I am very proud to be a part of the CentraState caring team!”

Jean H., RN, Radiology Nurse Coordinator

“I’ve been employed as an RN at CentraState Medical Center for over 20 years. My position as an Interventional Radiology nurse began 5 years ago. It has been extremely fulfilling and rewarding. It’s a privilege to be able to provide each patient with individual attention and care. The diversity of the department and interventional procedures has been a daily learning experience. The entire staffs of Radiologists, Technologists and Nurses work together as a team and supportive of each other. I feel so fortunate to be part of this Radiology family under the most supportive supervision.”

Manager OverviewAbout the department head, Mandi WortmanI've worked at CentraState since: 1993

I've worked in healthcare since: 1993

My education: I graduated from Kingsborough Community College and also attended Baruch and Georgian Court College.

I chose my profession because:  I started at CentraState Medical Center in 1993 as a clerk in the Radiology File Room. This was my first experience in a healthcare environment. I realized very early in my career that healthcare is where I wanted to be.

I chose to work at CentraState because:  They offered on site childcare and that is exactly the combination I was looking for. Shortly thereafter I enjoyed being part of a team that truly values their employees and the community it serves.

My interests/hobbies include: Spending quality time with my family and cooking special meals for my family and friends.

When you walk into our department, the first thing you'll notice is:

The warm and caring environment and everyone willing to assist.

What sets our department apart from others is:

We are a passionate, caring and competitive group of people. It is evident that we truly care about each other and the patients that we encounter on a daily basis.
