The rst self advocacy group

in Australia started in 1980.

The group was called Reinforce

and they are still going today!

20 years ago there were lots of self

advocacy groups all over Australia.

There was even a national group called People First Australia.

Today there are not as many self advocacy

groups.

Victoria has lots of groups but other states only have one or two!
