At AU Fresh, our goal is to provide a variety of healthy foods, made from scratch, in a fun atmosphere. We work to enrich your dining experience

by making it eventful and enjoyable.

We continuously adapt to keep pace with your ever changing schedules, lifestyles, preferences and nutritional needs.

We always encourage your involvement and input.

AU Fresh features an all-your-care-to-eat culinary center. We also offer four additional retail locations throughout campus, Powell Café featuring a Freshens Food Studio and our Met Grill, World Restaurant Collection and Piazza concepts. Also located in Powell Hall is our We Proudly Serve Starbucks location serving barista crafted beverages,

breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Join us at the Community Table for special events, Pop-Up Kitchens, cooking classes and more! Late night

craving? Check out MidKnight Express located on the lower level of Ade Hall, serving fast, fresh meal selections!

As a result of COVID-19, some location changes have been made to provide a safe dining environment for our students and comply with

social distancing guidelines.

AU Fresh features an array of exciting concepts and freshly prepared items in our culinary center. We create housemade selections from our very own pasta machine, fresh ground peanut butter grinder, gelato maker, Mongolian grill and smoker. Our

goal is to provide creative, fresh, healthy menu selections every day. Check out Clarity for Allergen-free entrée selections. But wait there is more! Our desserts are baked fresh daily in house, so be sure to save room.

Food Allergens and Preferences

The student can meet with the Executive Chef or the Director of Dining Services to learn how to safely navigate the dining locations and discuss appropriate dining options.

The student is responsible for communicating any questions or concerns to a member of the AU Fresh management team within the dining facilities. We always recommend personal interaction with our management staff to obtain the most accurate information at the time of meal service.

Please report your food allergy to the Alfred University Wellness Center 607.871.2300 prior to arrival on campus. Should a you need further assistance regarding food allergies or dietary restrictions, please contact the Health Services office at Alfred University.

The requested health information will be kept on file by Health Services.

GLUTEN SENSITIVE

Please contact the AU Fresh Executive Chef Jason Milburn at jmilburn@avifoodsystems.com prior to arrival on campus. All students with celiac disease or non-celiac gluten sensitivity must meet with a member of the AU Fresh management in the dining facility most frequently visited.

The gluten sensitive (GS) icon indicates that a selection contains no gluten in the ingredients, such as wheat,

barley or rye. However, Alfred University is not a gluten-free campus, and incidental gluten may still be present in

GS labeled foods.

Menu LabelingThe “Food Allergens & Preferences Guide,” posted in each dining location, highlights the icons that are used to designate food allergens, as well as vegetarian, vegan and gluten-sensitive options.

Digital menus are posted at every station in the dining halls, which list ingredients and identify the top eight food allergens (eggs, fish, milk, peanuts, shellfish, soy, tree nuts and wheat) with icons.

Menus are also posted on our website AVIServes.com/alfred and click on the dining location.While we make every effort to provide accurate information, the manufacturers of commercial foods we used within our menus, could change the formulation of, or substitute products at any time without notice. Substitutions may also be made during food preparation.

Students with food allergies should discuss questions or concerns about specific food items with a member of the AU Fresh management team.

AU Fresh makes every attempt to identify ingredients that may cause allergic reactions for those with food allergies. AU Fresh does not have a gluten-free or allergen-free

kitchen. We adhere to ServSafe practices to avoid cross-contamination and cross-contact.

SOCIAL DISTANCING• Please keep 6 feet of distance between yourself and others• Look for markings on the floor for distancing recommendations• Please follow distancing guides

FACE COVERINGS• Face coverings are needed to enter all dining locations• As face coverings are required, we appreciate you speaking as loudly as possible to ensure the accuracy of your order

SERVICE STYLES • We have suspended self-service food selections• Please look for additional packaged selections throughout the retail dining locations• Reusable mugs/cups have been suspended• All locations have been reduced to 50% capacity• Maximum allowable time at tables is 45 minutes

ENHANCED CLEANING & SANITATION• Our team has created an aggressive and thorough cleaning schedule• Thank you for your patience as we work to serve you quickly and efficiently

INFRASTRUCTURE UPDATES• Certain stations have been modified to reduce touch points and provide additional physical barriers

ANOTHER WAY TO SAVE

Fiat BuxFiat Bux roll over from semester to semester, but not

between academic years. Any Fiat Bux left in your account at the end of an academic year will be forfeited. Fiat Bux

are non-transferrable and are not accepted during the winter and spring break sessions.

If students deplete their Fiat Bux they have the option to use a credit or debit card. Additional Fiat Bux must be

purchased through the GET app.
