Dear Church Family,
During the month of June we conducted our Vacation Bible School and it
was a fun week. I am grateful for everyone who gave of their time and
other resources to make it a success. You are a great bunch of folks who
rose to the occasion. I dont have a final count, but I know of six older
children/youth who trusted Christ for salvation, and some rededications.
That is always something to celebrate.
We know that summer is here. We can tell from the temperature, summer
thunderstorms, and the many who are away on vacation. Even though it is
summertime, we are still busy as we plan and calendar for fall and next
year. We have a couple of new ministries in the works and will be sharing
details in the next few weeks. It is not a new ministry, but I am busy
praying and planning for a big push in the area of our Sunday morning
LIFE Groups. As you know, that is something that is near to my heart. It
will continue to be our main strategy for being on mission. We will
utilize other ways to reach and disciple, but we are going to remain
committed to our small group strategy for doing the Great
Commission (Matthew 28:19-20).
We are around the corner from the July 4th holiday. As we celebrate our
freedoms, in this great country in which we live, lets celebrate our
freedom in the Lord Jesus. We can do that by offering thanks to Him,
giving Him the praise and honor that He deserves and is worthy of. When
you are in town, be involved in Bible study and worship. Join together with
the church family as we celebrate our living Lord and watch Him work!
In His great love,
Bro. DarrolBro. DarrolBro. DarrolBro. Darrol

Dear Church Family,
July is here and we are off to camp! Dont forget to thank God for the grace He has given and pray for his
continued blessings on our nation as we celebrate our independence.
Our students are very excited about all the activities that we have
coming up in the next few months. Please remember, July 21st will
be our first day of Super Summer 2014! Sponsored by the Florida
Baptist Convention at Lake Yale. Please begin to pray for the
hearts of those who are going this year (listed below). Pray
that this camp experience will radically change their hearts for
Christ and the community, so that on their return they may impact Frostproof in a way we have
never seen before. Here is a camp roster so that you may pray for them by name.

Also, just a reminder that August is coming up, signaling our huge back to school bash known as MOBILIZE.
This years event falls on August 23, the Saturday after school starts, so mark your calendars and begin to
prepare. MOBILIZE is one of the biggest evangelism events of the year that FBC Frostproof presents; so we
will need all the help we can get!
Thank you for everything that you do, and we are looking forward to a great summer here at O2 Youth!
In His Grip,
Bro. Brian mobilize

Polk County Schools HEARTH Project
The Polk County School Board Hearth project is responsible for meeting the educational needs
of students who are experiencing homelessness in Polk County. We work under the federal law,
the McKinney-Vento Act, which allows for immediate school access and stability for students
experiencing homelessness. The Hearth staff of four diligently works to ensure that these rights
are met for Polk County students throughout the school year. Hearth has identified over 4,000
students who were eligible for McKinney-Vento services this 2013-2014 school year.
The Hearth staff is humbly asking for assistance from the churches in our community to meet
the basic hygiene need for the Hearth students. If each church assembles fifty hygiene
packages one time a year, the need will be met.
For the 2013-2014 school year, four generous churches provided 235 hygiene packs and we
are so grateful. With their help and with the help of several other individuals and community
groups a total of 841 students received a hygiene pack this school year.
Each Hygiene pack should minimally include:
Full size shampoo and conditioner
One or two bars of soap
One full size tube of toothpaste
One packaged toothbrush
One hairbrush and/or comb
One wash cloth
One or two deodorants
You are welcome to individualize the hygiene bags with products for male or female elementary
students, male or female teenage students, or generic non-gender hygiene products. All
products should be packaged in a one gallon Ziploc bag. Our church goal is to complete 75 bags
by the first of September. Please bring the hygiene bags to the church office.
Thank you in advance for your willingness to partner with Polk County Schools Hearth Project
to help meet this need for the students in Polk County Schools who are experiencing
homelessness.

Hunger Awareness Day
Sunday, July 13, 2014
A generous person will be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor. Proverbs 22:9
Hunger is the number one health risk in the world. Twenty four thousand people die due to hunger every day. Only ten percent of hunger deaths result form famine and wars. Hunger kills most people through chronic malnutrition.
Many people may believe that the problems associated with hunger are confined to certain socio-economic segments, certain areas of the county, or certain neighborhoods, but the reality is much different. These are often hard-working adults, children and seniors who simply cannot make financial ends meet and are forced to go without food for several meals, or even days.
In addition to financial support to the Florida Baptist Convention, this year our church will also support the Frostproof Care Center through food donations or a monetary gift. The following food items are needed for the Care Center pantry; rice, can or dry evaporated milk, dry beans, peanut butter, jelly, can fruit, soups and string spaghetti.
Your gift will make a difference when sharing with those in need.
Hunger Facts
30 percent of senior adult households in America have to choose
between buying food and paying for utilities and heating fuel.
50 percent of all non-elderly low-income families who were helped
through a food pantry in the U.S. last year were working families with
children.
70,500 children in Florida are homeless. Only seven states have more
homeless children.

Pray For America
Despite its foundational Christian heritage, America is rapidly degenerating into a godless
society. The church in America, although highly visible and active, appears powerless to
redirect the rushing secular currents. Mired in a moral and spiritual crisis, America's only
hope is a national revival, like God has graciously bestowed in the past.
