Description.
PH-ELIM participated at Social Responsibility Day in Health institutions was organised on 15th of November 2017 on University Mediterranean. Lecture was attended by representatives of the University of Mediterranean, representatives of the Institute for Social Responsibility and students of the Mediterranean University.
Doc. dr Marija Jankovic presented PH-ELIM project as well as its goals and objectives. She briefly described planned reforms of the curricula on Faculty of Law and Faculty of Business Studies, which is based on the introduction on courses regarding to public health issues. Also, she talked about good practices of social responsibility in health care organizations, emphasis on the strategy of helping the vulnerable population, youth education in health care and donations.
The representatives of the Institute for Social Responsibility presented a clear concept of social responsibility through the pyramid of social responsibility, emphasizing the importance of philanthropy for the whole society, through “triple bottom line system” they pointed out the role of companies in sustainable development. Examples of good practice in healthcare were presented at the “Hemofarm company – Podgorica”, while also highlighting the lack of social responsibility practices of individual Health care institutions. The students actively participated in the interaction by asking questions in the area of Social responsibility in Health Care.
