While LCSD’s initial comment was that it had no objection to

the proposed project, the sites were narrow which might be

difficult for greening maintenance. Besides, comments from

TD and HyD should be sought for the project. The exact

locations will be confirmed in detailed design stage after

consulting the project proponent.

Attending members noted that no relevant department had

taken up the maintenance responsibility of the existing railings

and agreed to repair the railings first with the funding from

“Minor improvement works 2014-15”. The Secretariat has

asked the Works Section to follow up after the site visit. On

suggestion to reconstruct the stairs, members agreed that it

should be considered after the improvement works to the steel

staircase nearby has completed.
