POLAR EXPRESS PARTY DIY SNOW GLOBEBy Missy and Kristen of Sweetly Chic Events and Design
and Oriental Trading
DIY SNOW GLOBES• My boys are in love with snow
globes and were thrilled when I told home they were going to create their very own DIY snow globes for our Polar Express Party.
• This was a super fun and simple craft that the whole family can get involved in!
• Plus, they make adorable party decor and favors.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
• Mini Green Sisal Tree
• DIY Snow Globe Jars
• Iridescent Glitter Jar
• E6000 Craft Adhesive Glue
• Distilled Water
• Glycerin
STEP 1
• Begin by removing the lid to the DIY Snow Globe Jar.
STEP 2
• My guys wanted to include a Mini Green Sisal Tree, a reindeer crossing sign and a North Pole sign in their Snow Globe so that is what we will be putting inside.
• Take one of the Mini Green Sisal Trees and add a drop of E6000 Craft Adhesive Glue to the base. Firmly place it on the underside of the Snow Globe lid.
STEP 3• We repeated this same step
with our Reindeer Crossing signage. We had these lying around from an old Christmas village we used to set up but no longer needed.
• They worked out perfectly! Allow the glue to dry for up to 24 hours.
STEP 4
• Add a teaspoon of Iridescent Glitter to the Snow Globe.
STEP 5
• Fill the snow globe with distilled water and then add five drops of Glycerin. This will help the glitter suspend throughout the water.
STEP 6
• Carefully screw the lid to the snow glove back on. Now it’s time to shake a way and enjoy your own DIY Snow Globe.
