Originally founded in 1987 in Providence Rhode Island, DreamLight moved to the Greater Boston Area in 1995 in order to expand into a larger market. DreamLight is run by Michael Scaramozzino ($ LinkedIn Profile | LightWave 3D Artist Profile), the award-winning CGI short filmmaker and author of the book: Creating a 3D Animated CGI Short.
Michael Scaramozzino is a CGI pioneer with over three decades of experience in both the art and science of computer graphics. His multifaceted background includes creating digital design, illustration & animation, programming interactive multimedia, WordPress website development and app development as well as teaching and writing about all aspects of computer graphics.
His mastery gained from programing, teaching and writing about computer graphics enables him to push his creative endeavors much further than other computer artists who may lack such depth of experience.
Michael earned a BFA in illustration/animation from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) where he graduated a year early from the transfer program after winning advanced standing based on a special portfolio review. He transferred to RISD from the University of California San Diego (UCSD) where he studied computer science.
