Supervised middleware developer for programming effort. I designed and drafted the content for the Basic SAP System and Portal Navigation web based training courses. SAP Functional Analyst, US Navy – Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) SIGMA ERP Pilot Program

I provided support for the creation, testing and implementation of an interface between SAP MM module and the DoD PD2 Contracting Application (SPS), which was the first of its kind. This interface was the basis for the procurement interface used by the next generation NAVY ERP program. I also created and delivered training to over 300 end users on the operation of the interface and business process changes.

Functional Analyst, US Navy – Naval Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center (NETPDTC)

Performed ABC Model development and process mapping of the “As Is” and “To Be” organizations for a Functional Analysis study conducted at the Naval Education and Training Professional Development and Technology Center (NETPDTC), Pensacola, FL. I designed and developed a client server data collection tool in conjunction with NETPDTC programmers and database personnel, which processed input from over 1200 users. I developed a base wide training program and personally conducted on-site training on the implementation and use of the data collection tool.Functional Analyst, US Navy – Naval Education and Training Command – Roosevelt Roads PR - Functional Analysis StudyI performed data collection, ABC model development and analysis, and process mapping of “As Is” and “To Be” organizations for an ABC study of Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico, utilizing the OROS application. I met with SME’s for various functions and captured business process data in order to model the As-Is organization and apply Activity Based Costing methodologies in developing the To-Be organization.

Functional Analyst, US Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC - HQ) – Ft. Walton Beach, FL – Data Analysis of Manpower Data Base

Planned, organized and developed a manpower & organizational study of Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command (HQ AFSOC) utilizing the Task Management System (TMS) Value Model. Led the team through the process of providing consistency to, and analysis of, nearly 6,000 Government-collected database records. The data was compiled, cross-checked, analyzed, and interpreted to obtain relevant outcomes. I negotiated with senior leadership to implement recommendations that called for extensive organizational realignments and innovative ideas for end-strength reductions. I developed and presented an oral briefing on the results of the study for the entire HQ AFSOC senior staff.

Functional Analyst, US Navy – Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City, FL – ABC/BPR Study

Performed data collection, ABC Model development and process mapping of “As Is” organization applying to an ABC study for NAVSEA Coastal System Station (CSS) Panama City, Fl., utilizing the OROS application. Determined Business process changes required based on ABC analysis.

Functional Analyst, US Navy – Chief of Naval Education and Training, Meridian, MS – Commercial Activities StudiesPerformed analysis toward the completion of the Chief of Naval Education and Training (CNET) A-76 Commercial Activities studies, involving both Administrative and Base Operating Support Functions. Developed Performance Work Statements and Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans through observations, interviews, various data collection methods and use of performance metrics to determine workload and manpower requirements. Collected and analyzed inventory and other supporting data for all sections of Public Works, Supply, and Administration Departments under study.

I purchased a retail business with commercial and residential rental units upon being honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps. During the next ten years I managed the property and provided management support to the retail business on a regular basis. We experienced major damage due to a hurricane during our first year in business which required me to seek additional employment.

US Marine Corps, Jacksonville, NC January 1983 to September 1994 Officer, Naval AviatorWhile in the Marine Corps I held Department Head positions as Maintenance Officer, Administrative Officer, and Air Officer. As Maintenance Officer for Helicopter Training Squadron 8, I maintained a fleet of over 100 aircraft. I coordinated the check flights of all post-maintenance aircraft, provided emergency field maintenance recovery to aircraft after precautionary landings, and qualified all Functional Check Flight Pilots for the squadron. My military experience also includes actively deploying overseas with both aviation and ground units. I have first-hand experience utilizing the Maritime Pre-Positioning Ships, as the primary resource for vehicle issue, for a Marine regiment under actual wartime conditions (Desert Shield /Desert Storm). I have held a final secret clearance while in the Marine Corps and in working for DoD clients as a consultant.
