Nimkii, a young Anishnaabe, 22, from Wikwemikong unceded First Nations, on Turtle Island and is a member of the wolf clan. Nimkii

created DNA in 2011 to empower the people through the language, song &

dance. Nimkii is singer/dancer, starting off in the powwow circuit, then had the opportunity to work with Dancing Earth and Kaha:wi

Dance Theatre, well known for their indigenous contemporary dance styles. It is Nimkiis dream to help awaken the spirit of others and to

help them find pride in their identity. Miigwech!
