Masaood John Brown is a company that deals with repair and refurbishment of Gas Turbines leaning towards GE Turbines.

Working as an 'Assistant Mechanical Engineer' in a team of 4 professionals I report directly to the 'Project Engineering Support Manager' who is responsible for all the Engineering decisions undertaken by the company.

Main Responsibilities:

Assist the different departments in finding viable solutions by preparing Technical Calculations

Preparing drawings to a professional standard to highlight the solutions and new product designs

Writing up specifications for ordering Gas Turbine Auxiliaries and new procedures

Coordinating with vendors to ensure quality of the final product

Complete control over the Design and Construction of a Gas Turbine Ventilation Duct System

Technical Calculation to estimate stresses on a running Turbine wheel

Calculation of an alternate method to reduce 90% leakage rate without sacrificing GT material

Prepared a set of calculations which highlighted reason for failure of Rotor bridge pieces within 8000 hours of operation.

Design of a Balance Mandrel for Generator Rotors (16 Ton)
