Office profiles What we do

It is now our largest office in the region, and has a multi-disciplined team of adjusters, engineers and surveyors capable of handling all classes of insurance claim providing our clients with the most efficient service.

With its excellent communication links, the Dubai office handles losses throughout the region where we do not have direct representation, including East Africa, Indian Ocean Islands, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, North Africa, The Caucuses, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan

Abu Dhabi Office Our Abu Dhabi office was established in 2007 specifically to serve the Abu Dhabi Insurance market at a time when the emirate was undergoing substantial development. Since then the office had experienced steady growth and we are able to offer a wide range of skills and abilities throughout Abu Dhabi.

Our Dubai office was established in 1978 initially to serve the growing construction and energy markets in the region.

Our UAE operation has experience in a wide variety of disciplines. We have proven expertise for handling major losses, particularly those with complex technical issues.

Our professional staff routinely handle claims and surveys in the following classes of business:

• MCL Global

• Property and industrial all risks and attendant business interruption

• Construction and erection all risks and attendant delay in start up

• Machinery breakdown and boiler explosion

• Theft and other casualty risks

• Marine Cargo

• Liability (public, products and professional indemnity)

Our experienceTo enhance and support our loss adjusting services, many of our staff, in addition to formal qualifications in loss adjusting, are also qualified in either insurance, engineering, surveying, accounting and law.

The UAE is a fast developing nation and, as a result, has huge infrastructure projects underway in energy, road, rail, petrochemical and large scale construction projects – all areas in which our office has the necessary expertise to handle any claims that arise as a result.

We have been nominated on many large projects in many sectors and disciplines but primarily CAR/EAR and BI/DSU/ALOP related.

We believe in a consistent approach.

Claims management Our team

We aim to provide accurate reports and to be proactive but never losing sight of the importance of settling claims as expediently as possible.

We also endeavor to manage the expectations of all parties involved in the claims process with our primary objectives being:

• Assigning the most appropriate person for the job

• Consistent and accurate recommendations for reserves

• Speed of initial response and wrap-up

• Full and proper collection and retention of site evidence

• Constant communication with all parties

• Prompt identification of ‘grey’ and problem areas

• Full awareness/evaluation of potential subrogation aspects

• Value-added services (pre-risk advice, photographic surveys, local knowledge etc.)

Our IT SystemWe operate an in-house IT system, Vanguard. This is a branch operating system to manage claim files. Claims can be opened, updated, adjusted, supervised, tracked and invoiced through the system. This has EDI capabilities and clients can have access to their files, having satisfied security access requirements.

This system was deployed in our Middle Eastern operation in 2010 and offers the following benefits:

• Electronic claims assignment and reporting

• Direct online access to claims information

• Delivery of a consistent, quality product

• Built-in client instructions to ensure that correct service standards are being delivered

We recognise that the basis of the relationship between the adjuster and our client is that of a partnership, one built on trust and a desire for equality of benefit.
