It is hard to believe how fast the last four years have flown by. It has been my pleasure to serve as Commonwealths Attorney for Essex County. I would be honored with the privilege of serving for another four years. I am officially announcing that I will seek re-election for Commonwealths Attorney this year.Over the last four years, we have worked closely with law enforcement from the beginning of investigations until guilty verdicts (and sometimes beyond). We have put an emphasis on vigorously prosecuted violent offenses and sexual crimes. My office is proud to have targeted the high level drug dealers in Essex as well as taking on the newer challenges like prescription drug abuse and the spice epidemic. Local, state, and federal law enforcement worked hard and fast together to shut down the commercial spice trade in Essex. As part of this offices spice prosecutions, $20,000 was seized from spice merchants.In the last four years, this office has put an emphasis on targeting public assistance abuse (commonly known as welfare fraud). Working with our local law enforcement agencies, Social Services, the Attorney Generals Fraud Investigators, the United States Treasury, we have successfully prosecuted Medicare/Medicaid fraud, public retirement benefit fraud, and most commonly, Food Stamp (S.N.A.P) fraud. First and foremost, we seek justice and fair treatment of all regardless of who you are or where you came from. It has been an honor to serve you and I ask you for the opportunity to continue to serve this great county. I ask for your vote this November. Vince
