Greetings and a warm welcome to Jul- December 2015 issue of our newsletter “Jigaysa”, which serve as an additional

and event organized in the campus during last six months. In this issue we look to the past and to the future as our

catalogue of activities started with welcoming our new 2015 batch students with much enthusiasm and exuberance and

it ends with biding adieu to year 2015. We feel proud to introduce our new publication of Environment and Community

Services (ECS) Newsletter which focuses on various environmental activities and initiatives taken by our college in

this domain. We are looking forward to commence the upcoming semester with ecstasy and earnest commitment.

FROM THE CHAIRMAN'S DESK

FROM THE DIRECTOR’S DESK

Knowledge – A fluid mix of experience, value, contextual information and expert insight provides the framework for evaluating and

incorporating new experiences and information. It originates and is applied in the minds of knowers. In organizations, it often

becomes embedded not only in documents or repositories, but also in organizational routines, processes, practices and norms true

to this sense, this issue of JIGYASA brings to you an account of the events and activities that took place at the institution, bringing

to me a feeling of fruition of the events and programs envisioned in the earlier semester. Indeed, there is so much to share and

feel proud of. The panoramic glimpses of the vibrant and fecund events are entwined into its pages which speak themselves for the

thrusts, learning dimensions and developments that took place in the semester gone by. The very objective of education at IITM is

to stimulate the thinking process so that the students and other stakeholders form independent views to take emancipated and

virtuous decisions discriminating between right and wrong. We take our teaching profession as a social responsibility, contributing

our entire mite to build a new vibrant India. I am very expectant that the Institute – the faculty, staff and students, as a whole,

shall constantly strive for more and more excellence in every field they explore in the sundry realms of life.

It is heartening that Jigyasa embodying consciousness and awareness is coming up with yet another issue. As Jigyasa kindles and

rekindles a feeling of exploration and delving deep into everything around. Symbolising the intrinsic spirit, the institution aims to be a

centre of excellence promoting value based quality education in emerging areas of professional studies and attempting, in all

earnestness, to touch dizzy heights. It is good news for the IITM fraternity that the institution has progressed in terms of its national

accreditation, infrastructure upgradation, software program enhancements, students and faculty exchange programs, number of

courses taught, guest lectures, interactions with industry and developmental programmes, the mainstay for any incremental process.

Preceding semester enlists various management and Information Technology workshops and seminars. We feel honored to be

associated with Southwest University for Nationalities, China, for students and faculty exchange programs. It is a feeling of immense

pleasure and pride for me to release this issue of JIGYASA. This newsletter with added dimensions will brighten up our readers about

various co-curricular and extracurricular events, creative and imaginative expressions of our staff and students. While we feel proud

of our achievements; we still have a long way to go. It will be our utmost endeavor to maintain and sustain the trajectory of growth

of our institute.
