You’ve thought about what it must be like to play college
ball. You’ve envisioned yourself stepping onto the hardwood.
Playing in front of a packed house. Hitting the shot when it
matters most. You’re looking for a program that will give you
all this and then some. You want a team you can help take
to the next level, one built on dedication, teamwork and
determination. Well, you’ve come to the right place.
Meet the CoachJamahl Jackson is the Head Coach of the Men’s Basketball program. Jackson has been a part of the program since its inception, serving as both an assistant and associate head coach prior to taking over the reins for the 2004-2005 season. In just his second season as head coach, Jackson was named Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Coach of the Year after leading the team to a 20-8 overall record and a 17-1 regular season conference mark. He has guided the Saints to two GNAC Conference Championship finals as well as multiple berths in the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship Tournament.
Prior to Emmanuel, Jackson coached at Amherst Regional High School in addition to serving as a counselor/coach with the Five-Star and P.L.A.Y. (Planned Learning Achievement for Youth) Academy basketball camps. He is a former 4-year Division I player for the University of New Hampshire. At UNH, he received a B.S. in kinesiology. Jackson also played semi-professional basketball for two years with the Springfield Slamm of the United Basketball Alliance and was a standout for traveling teams in Japan.

FacilitiesThe Jean Yawkey Center gymnasium is home to the Saints for both practice and competition. With bleacher seating for up to 1400, game nights become the place to be for the EC Superfans, the dance team and the cheerleaders. The Yawkey Center also includes a state-of-the-art training facility, as does St. Joseph Hall. Both fitness centers are updated with new platforms, racks, free weights, plate-loaded equipment and a separate cardio room.
“Emmanuel College provides an amazing opportunity for student-
athletes to achieve success in the classroom, to compete athletically

coaches totally support the academic mission of the college, and
our student-athletes continue to make us proud on an annual basis.”
