Project created by Year 2 students
Age: 6—7 years
The main goal of the project was to
teach students about the importance
of Healthy Eating and Personal
Hygiene.
We were inspired by our School
With the students co-operation two stories, one about a snake
named Żaqqinu and the other about a monkey named Pinu, were
created.
In order to make students become effective contributors to the whole project, students were taught how to use modern techonology :
• Students created PowerPoints using Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Students used Microsoft Office Word to type their stories.
• Students played educational interactive games related to the stories.
• Students built a Photo Story with photos taken by themselves.
• Students learned how to search cliparts from Internet.
• Students narrated the story as they were recorded through Audacity.
• Students uploaded photos taken by themselves on the PC.
• Students created pictures using Tux Paint.
• Students handled successfully digital cameras.

Children became confident in using modern technology found in school and at home.
Comprehension, Conversation, Reading and Writing Skills were enhanced through working several handouts.
Cross Curricular subjects such as ICT, Social Studies, Physical Education, and Personal and Social Development were integrated throughout the project.
A sense of Team Work between Students and Teachers was observed during the project.
Student’s self-esteem was enhanced as they felt an essential part
to the project because they were all involved.
