A community is a collection of people living in a particular area or place. (i.e. "local communities".)

In terms of the University of Rhode Island, it is the campus, the faculty and staff, the students, and the people living on and immediately surrounding campus.

The surrounding community can mean anything from South Kingstown (the town in which URI is located) to Providence, Cranston, Warwick, or the State of Rhode Island

organizations, working jobs, and volunteering in ways that directly effect the University of Rhode Island, its students, and faculty.

Community involvement means getting involved in service projects, organizations, and jobs that effect the areas and towns around URI and in Rhode Island.

Christopher House which is located next to the Union across the street from parking services.

The Christopher House is where the Greek advisor, Inter Fraternal Council members, and Pan-Hellenic members hang out, they know tons about rush.
