ANNUAL ELECTION MEETING

Neighborhood Council Executive Board—Each executive board member shall serve for a term of one year and is elected by a majority vote of the General Membership. The board consists of the positions of Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and/or Treasurer, and may include up to three Members-at-Large. The executive board shall consist of at least four, but not more than seven members. No absentee or proxy voting will be permitted.

Chairperson—Presides over all regular and special meetings of the Executive Board and General Membership; will appoint all committees with the approval of a majority of the Executive Board & will be an Ex-Officio member of all standing committees. Attend INCO meetings as a voting member.

Vice-Chairperson—Performs the duties of the Chairperson in his or her absence. Conducts ongoing membership recruitment.

Secretary—Keeps minutes and takes roll before all meetings of the Executive Board and General Membership. Will have custody of all records of the Neighborhood Council.

Treasurer—Has the responsibility of providing custody of all funds of the Council and expend the same only with authorization by a majority vote of the Executive Board or by the direction of the General Membership at an official Council meeting.

Members-at-Large (1 to 3)—Undertakes special projects as directed by majority vote of the Executive Board. One Member-at-Large may be an owner of real property in the neighborhood who does not reside in the neighborhood.
