COURAGE TO CHANGE
The Courage to Change Ministry had an excellent year in 2014.
We had over 100 people in attendance with an average of 15 for
our regular Thursday evening meetings. Each of our elders
showed their support by attending at least one of our special
speaker meetings and our special events. One of our ministers
showed his support for this ministry by attending our Christmas
dinner party. We truly appreciate the support we receive from
our church leaders and other members of this congregation for
this program. We feel this is a worthwhile ministry with the goal
of helping to lead others to Christ and strengthening our
relationship with God. About half of those who attend are not
members of the Belpre Church of Christ. Our regular meetings
resumed January 15. Please come join us.
LOVE IN ACTION
Please remember to pick up a baby bottle to help out the
Women's Center again this year. Fill them with coins, bills, or a
check. These will be need to be returned in one month. Please
do not take a bottle if you are not going to return it. Each year
we loose about 15-20 of these. We will also be making another
donation to The Church of Christ Disaster relief. Some have
already donated. If you would like to donate please see Anita
Vaughan. So why do we care? Why do we reach out to those
whose lives are in such turmoil? When we are willing to wade
into someone else’s troubles to help that person hold up under
the weight, two things happen. First, he or she receives
desperately needed blessings in the form of aid, support, and
love. And second, you fulfill God’s command to love a neighbor
as yourself. May we all follow "The Coach" ( Christ ) this year and
love as he did!
