Smt. Srilakshmi has taken charge as Assistant Commissioner:
On 31.05.2018, Smt. Srilakshmi, has taken charge as Assistant
Commissioner, Chittoor Municipal Corporation. It is well known that
Smt. Srilakshmi is a Commissioner Cadre officer qualified through
APPSC and at her first appointment, she was appointed as Assistant
Commissioner to Chittoor Municipal Corporation, by the Government.
Two new sweeping machines:
Chittoor Municipal Corporation has allotted with two new
modernized road sweeping machines for road cleaning by
Swachha Andhra Corporation. As a part to check its working
conditions, Smt Katari Hemalatha, Mayor and Sri Obulesu,
Commissioner, verified its operation on ground level on
31.05.2018. On this occasion, Smt Katari Hemalatha has said that
road cleaning methods will be simplified with these modern
sweeping machines. Soon these vehicles will be inaugurated by the Hon’ble Minister.
Groundwork for implementation of G.O.No.279:
The Government has released G.O.No.279, to engage agencies to carryout sanitation works. In
Chittoor Municipal Corporation, groundwork has been started to implement G.O.No. 279. In the
previous survey, 47 thousand population of the Chittoor Municipal Corporation has divided into
350 micro pockets. The Corporation authorities are now conducting a fresh survey to re-verify the
previous survey with the help of Nursing students to implement Real Time Monitoring System
(RTMS). The students will verify about the number of households in each micro pocket and quantity
of garbage is generating from each pocket. After completion of this survey, the report will be
submitted to the Government.
‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ will begin from tomorrow (2nd June):
‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ is scheduled to be held
from 2nd June to 8th June by the State. In Chittoor
Municipal Corporation the programme will inaugurate
by the Hob’ble Minister for Industries, Sri Amarnath
Reddy. Sri Pradyumna, IAS, District Collector, Sri
Geervani, Z.P. Chairperson, Sri Siva Prasad, M.P., M.L.C.,
Mayor and others will participate in the inauguration
ceremony. During the ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’
programme, the authorities and public representatives
will lays foundation stone for various developmental works taken up in the city and will also
distribute new pensions to beneficiaries.

Efforts are being taken for the welfare of the people:
On 03.06.2018, Smt Satyaprabha, M.L.A. and Smt. K.
Hemalatha, Mayor of Chittoor Municipal Corporation have
participated in the ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ programme held
at 33rd division. While speaking in the meeting the Public
Representatives have said that the Government has taken all
necessary measures for implementation of all welfare
schemes like sanction of pensions under different categories,
sanction of community wise Corporation loans, allotment of
houses to homeless people etc.
In 27th and 30th divisions, Sri C. Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor Municipal Corporation has
participated in the ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ programme held on 03.06.2018. The Commissioner has
pledged with the locals and explained about various welfare schemes implemented by the
Government. The Corporators and local leaders have participated in the programme.
Actions will be taken if not punctual in attending duties:
On 04.06.2018, as a part of regular
inspections at various wards in the city, the Commissioner
has inspected Public Health muster, Construction works of
Anna Canteen at Government Hospital, new road laying
works from Kattamanchi to Vivekananda statue and
construction works of community toilets at Tapovanam.
While inspecting the Public Health muster, the
Commissioner directed the PH workers to wear uniforms
regularly. The Commissioner also warned them that if
punctuality is not maintained in their duties,
departmental actions will be taken against them. Along
with the Commissioner, Assistant Engineer, Environmental
Engineer and Sanitary Inspector have participated in the inspection.
Human survival is only through environmental conservation:
On the occasion of World Environmental Day, Smt Katari Hemalatha, planted saplings at P.N.C.
Municipal High School, Santhapet on 05.06.2018. While
speaking in the programme, the Mayor has said that
everybody has to protect the environmental equilibrium by
planting and protecting the plants. The Mayor is
accompanied by the Deputy Mayor, Head Master and
teachers of the Municipal School and the Municipal staff.

Welfare of the public is Government’s aim:
Smt Satyaprabha, M.L.A., Smt. Katari Hemalatha,
Mayor participated in ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ at 36, 37
and 41st divisions in the city. While speaking on the
occasion, the public representatives said that after TDP
came into power, each and every household was
benefitted by atleast one of the Government schemes.
After that, the M.L.A. and the Mayor have visited the
‘Rangoli’ competitions held at Ramvilas Sabha in 41st
division. During the programme ‘Vemanarayana
kalabrundam’ entertained the people with cultural
activities. Along with the M.L.A. and the Mayor, Deputy
Mayor, Corporators, Assistant Commissioner has participated in the programme.
Water harvesting through rain water:
Under the supervision of Engineering authorities of Chittoor Municipal Corporation, water soak
pits are to be dug at various places in the city to increase the underground water level. The Deputy
Mayor has said that in front of each and every house, people should dig soak water pits to conserve
rain water for future needs, as there is no chance of direct absorption of rain water into the soil in
the cities due to CC roads.
Upliftment of the weaker sections is our aim:
On 06.06.2018, Smt Katari Hemalatha,
Mayor along with Smt Srilakshmi, Assistant
Commissioner have participated in the ongoing
‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ programme held at 18th &
19th divisions. The Mayor has said in the meeting
that, a good change in the lifestyle and financial
stability have been brought in the lives of the
women due to interest free loans to women’s
association. The Mayor also said that English
medium education has been implemented in
Municipal Schools as private schools, which lays
foundation for school students to pursue their higher
studies.
Open auction of market yard :
On 07.06.2018, in an announcement, Sri Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor Municipal
Corporation has announced that open auction for Market yard, Slaughter house and Municipal Bus
Stand will be held at 11.00 a.m. on 11.06.2018 and the tenderers are requested to attend the
auction.

Utilize the Government welfare schemes:
On 07.06.2018, Smt Satyaprabha, M.L.A. and Smt Katari
Hemalatha, Mayor have participated in the ‘Nava Nirmana
Deeksha’ Programme held at 47th Division. In the occasion, the
public representatives have said that the credit of
implementation of welfare schemes goes to Sri N. Chandra Babu
Naidu, even though the Government is in deficit budget. In this
programme along with the M.L.A and the Mayor, Deputy Mayor,
Assistant Commissioner and Corporators have participated.
Sri Chandrababu Naidu is the partisan of the poor:
On 08.06.2018, Smt Katari Hemalatha, Mayor participated
in ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ programme at 33rd division. While
speaking on this occasion, the Mayor has said that Sri
Chandrababu Naidu is the partisan of poor and weaker
sections of the society and in TTD regime only people got
benefitted by utilizing Government welfare schemes. On this
programme, Sri R. Subramanyam, Deputy Mayor distributed
215 new Old Aged Pensions, widow pensions and disabled
pensions to beneficiaries. The Deputy Mayor took this
opportunity to announce that if any beneficiaries are there
who did not apply earlier for the pensions are invited to apply for pensions in the o/o of Chittoor
Municipal Corporation.
CC road at Kattamanchi:
The authorities of Chittoor Municipal Corporation have responded to a news article published
in Andhra Jyothi newspaper and sanctioned CC road to Kattamanchi road with an estimated cost of
Rs. 15 lakhs and the road laying works are going on.
Closing ceremony of ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’:
On 09.06.2018, Smt Katari Hemalatha, Mayor of Chittoor Municipal Corporation has
participated on the last day of ‘Nava Nimana Deeksha’ held at 38th division in the city. Sri R.
Subramanyam, Deputy Mayor has participated in the last day celebrations at Kayanikattu and
explained about Government schemes to the public.
Keep the city clean and beautiful:
On 11.06.2018, Sri Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor Municipal Corporation visited Church
Street, Palamaneru Road and Kummara Street in the city. Along with the Commissioner, Deputy
Mayor, In-charge EE, Sanitary Inspectors have participated in the visit. While visiting, the

Commissioner directed the shop owners to keep dust bins in front of each and every shop to collect
the garbage in the bins instead of throwing them on the roads everywhere and handover them to
the PH workers when they come to collect the waste and ordered to keep the surroundings of
slaughter house clean. While visiting the Palamaneru Road, the Commissioner identified that there
is a mobile toilet which is not used by the public and directed the concerned to staff to shift the
mobile toilet to rush area.
Corporation earned more than 1 crore profit in auction:
On 11.06.2018, annual open auction was conducted to
sanction market yard, slaughter house and NTR Bus Stand on
lease. Through auction, market yard, slaughter house and NTR bus
stand auctioned for Rs. 90,00,800/-, Rs. 2,13,500/- and Rs. 15.27
lakhs respectively. The auction programme was carried out in the
presence of the Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Manager
and bidders.
Let’s get ‘Ram Vilas Sabha’ into accessible:
On 11.06.2018, Sri Pradyumna, District Collector, inspected the oldest ‘Ram Vilas Sabha’ in the
city and enquired about the value of assets related to the
‘Sabha’. The Collector directed the Commissioner of Chittoor
Municipal Corporation to submit a report on feasibility of
conducting cultural activities there by remodeling it and also the
Collector wanted a report on why the sabha has converted into
function hall for marriages. Smt Satyaprabha promised to help
in reconstruction of the ‘sabha’. In this inspection along with
the Collector, Hon’ble M.L.A., Hon’ble Mayor, Municipal
Assistant Engineers and other Municipal staff have participated.
Impose fine, if waste threw on the roads:
On 11.06.2018, Sri Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor Municipal Corporation along with staff
conducted ground level inspection in the city and issued the following instructions/orders:
After inspecting Public Health Muster, the Commissioner ordered the workers to follow
punctuality in duties, if not action will be taken against the impunctuals.
The Commissioner ordered the Public Health officials to
collect fine if anybody littering on the roads.
After visiting the TRS pump house, the Commissioner
ordered to supply regular water supply.
The Commissioner admonished the shop owners in 37th
division as they threw waste on the road and instructed
them to keep dust bins before the shops.

Interviews for Corporation loans will be conducted from 14th July:
In a press conference, Smt Sreelakshmi, Assistant Commissioner, announced that interviews
will be conducted from 14th to 15th of July to the unemployed people who have applied for
Corporation loans under SC, ST, BC categories. Interviews for SC corporation loans will be held at 10
a.m. on 14th & at 2.30 p.m. for BC Corporation. Similarly, interviews for Minority loans on 15th at 10
a.m. and at 2.30 a.m. Kaapu, Christian, ST, EBC, Vysya loans. The interviews will be held at
Ambedkar Bhavan in Mesanikal grounds.
Complete beautification works on or before 15th August:
On 12.06.2018, Sri Pradyumna, District Collector, inspected several developmental activities
taken up in the city. While inspecting the beautification works
of Kajoor and Gangineni river, the Collector ordered the
authorities of Irrigation Department to complete the works on
or before 15th August, if not, departmental actions will be
taken against the concerned authorities as per the rules in
force. Meanwhile, the Collector has ordered the
Commissioner, Chittoor Municipal Corporation, to expedite
the road laying works and central lighting works held at
Kattamanchi River. In the inspection, the Collector is
accompanied by the M.L.A., Mayor, Commissioner, S.E., Irrigation Department, EE and others.
Business improvement through self-employment courses:
Smt. Katari Hemalatha, Mayor of Chittoor Municipal
Corporation and Smt Jyothi, PD of MEPMA presented
certificates to candidates who have completed free tailoring
training course at CRC Centre, Khajoor, sponsored by the
Municipal Corporation, Chittoor. While speaking on this
occasion, the authorities have said that women have to learn
handicrafts to earn money through self-employment, hence the
Corporation provides free training courses on various aspects.
Survey to identify beneficiaries under housing for all scheme: Commissioner
A meeting was conducted with the Habitation Officers
in the o/o Chittoor Municipal Corporation by the
Commissioner. While speaking in the meeting the
Commissioner said that the Government has sanctioned a
land to construct apartments at Punepalli for 3500 homeless

people in the city. The applicants who have already applied for this scheme are tallied with the data
of collected from Smart Pulse Survey and RTGS and later, it was found that only 1598 applicants are
eligible and remaining 1902 applicants are ineligible under this scheme for various reasons. In this
regard, the Commissioner ordered the Habitational Officers to conduct a survey to re-verify the
ineligible applicant details and consolidate the final list of beneficiaries, within two days. In this
meeting, along with the Commissioner, Assistant Commissioner, Town Planning Officer and
Manager have participated.
Commissioner’s visit:
On 13.06.2018, Sri Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor Municipal Corporation visited/inspected
several wards in the city. During the course of his visiting, the Commissioner made the following
instructions/orders:
The Commissioner ordered the concerned authorities to prepare estimations for the
construction of apartment at Sambaiahkandriga for the poor people.
The Commissioner visited Public Health Muster at Khaji
School and appreciated Smt Yasodamma and Smt Aruna
as they were selected as best workers. The Commissioner
instructed the Public Health Workers that they should be
aware of spread of seasonal diseases and to prevent
them oil balls should be dropped at water logged places
and frequent inspections at slaughter houses.
The Commissioner ordered the Engineering officials to
create the portion of land area behind the Commissioner’s bungalow into children
playground.
The Commissioner also inspected the working performance of sweeping machine at
Kongareddipalle and instructed them to clean main junctions in the city at regular intervals.
Penalty for late attendance:
Sri Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor Municipal
Corporation has taken a new move for maintenance of
punctuality in attending the duties of Public Health Workers. If
any worker attends to his duties lately, the concerned worker
will have to drop Rs. 5/- in savings box. This method is initially
imposed in 3 Public Health Musters located at National School,
Santhapet, Khaji School at Ramulavari Temple and at near
Slaughter house. The Commissioner said that the amount
collected as penalty from the workers will be utilized for the welfare of workers. The Commissioner
also said that with this method, the workers will follow punctuality in attending their duties and
this method will be implemented in all divisions in the near future.

Rs. 78 lakhs for the development of Kattamanchi river:
On 15.06.2018, the Standing Committee meeting held in the office of Chittoor Municipal
Corporation under the head of Smt Katari Hemalatha, Mayor of Chittoor Municipal Corporation.
The Committee has approved the following works:
As per the orders of the Collector, M.L.A. and the
Mayor, the Committee has approved to spend Rs. 36
lakhs for land scaling of Kattamanchi and Rs. 42 lakhs
for beautification of the tank. In earlier, the
Committee has already approved Rs. 80 lakhs worth
of funds for renovation of Kattamanchi River. But, the
approved works were cancelled, as the Irrigation
Department showed objections that this work belongs to them and they will undertake the
work.
The Committee also approved for engagement of Computer Operators and Work Inspectors
through outsourcing.
The Committee also approved to install bracket lights worth of Rs. 90 lakhs at Khajoor,
Kattamanchi Road and Puttur Road areas.
In this Standing Committee meeting along with the Mayor, Commissioner, Assistant
Commissioner, Manager, Assistant Engineers, Sreekanth, Lokanatham, Naveen, Guna Sekhar-
committee members have participated.
173 unemployed people attended for self-help loans:
Interviews were conducted to sanction self help loans for
ST, OBC, Christian, Vysya, Kaapu, Brahmana, NaaiBrahamana,
Chaakali castes on 15.06.2018 at Ambedkar Bhawan. The
shortlisted applicants will be announced by the Bankers in due
time. In this programme Sri Obulesu, Commissioner, Smt
Srilakshmi, Assistant Commissioner, Sri Ravi, Revenue Officer
and other Municipal staff have participated.
Chittoor as poster free city:
On 15.06.2018, the authorities of Municipal Corporation conducted a special drive to make the
city as poster free city. As a part of this move, the staff of Town Planning Section and Engineering
Section has removed the posters, flexis, banners and wall-posters in the town. While speaking on
this, the Commissioner has said that mainly the owners of cinema theatres are displaying the
posters at several places in the city. The Commissioner also said that, displaying of posters
especially in front of the Government offices and Schools is prohibited, if anyone places posters,
strict action will be taken against such persons which may lead to imprisonment along with penalty.

Be cautions on seasonal diseases:
Smt Katari Hemalatha, Mayor of Chittoor Municipal Corporation has participated in an
awareness programme on Dengue fever, conducted in a Primary School at Ganganapalli. On this
programme, the Mayor has said that people must be cautious about the seasonal diseases and to
prevent the spread of diseases it is the responsibility of the individual to remove water storing
materials like tyres, coconut shells, plastic bottles etc. In this programme Health Officer of PP Unit,
staff of PP Unit and Corporators has participated.
Rs. 25,000/- sanctioned per Mosque for repairing:
In view of the Ramjan festival, Smt Katari Hemalatha,
Mayor of Chittoor Municipal Corporation has distributed Rs.
25,000/- worth of cheques to each of the Mosques which are
located at Shoukarpet, Ganganapalli, Santhapet, Laalu gardens,
Old Bus Stand and Kongareddipalle to renovate them.
House for all beneficiaries:
On 16.06.2018, Sri Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor
Municipal Corporation conducted a press conference and
announced that under ‘Pradana Mantri Aavas Yojana’-house for
all scheme, houses will be provided to all the homeless and
below poverty line people in the city. For this purpose, the
Government has given sanction to construct apartments with
3500 houses at Punepalli for Chittoor Municipal Corporation
and the said project is under construction. The Commissioner
also said that after scrutinizing the applications received for this scheme, it was found that there
were some applicants who are not beneficiaries/not eligible under this scheme. Hence, a special
wing is going to be setup at Municipal Corporation on 18, 19 and 20th of this month to give one
more opportunity for the beneficiaries to apply for this scheme. The Commissioner further said that
there are three categories in the scheme as follows:
Under category-1, one unit of house cost is Rs. 5.65 lakhs, out of this amount the beneficiary
has to pay Rs. 500, Central and State Government provides Rs. 3 lakhs as subsidy and banks
will provide a loan of Rs. 2.64 lakhs.
Under category-2, one unit of house cost is Rs. 6.65 lakhs, out of this amount the beneficiary
has to pay Rs. 50,000/-, Central and State Government provides Rs. 3 lakhs as subsidy and
banks will provide a loan of Rs. 3.15 lakhs.

Under category-3, one unit of house cost is Rs. 7.65 lakhs, out of this amount the beneficiary
has to pay Rs. 1,00,000/-, Central and State Government provides Rs. 3 lakhs as subsidy and
banks will provide a loan of Rs. 3.65 lakhs.
1351 applications received on the first day:
On 18.06.2018, a special drive was conducted in all the 50 divisions of the Chittoor
Municipal Corporation and in the office of Chittoor
Municipal Corporation to receive applications for
sanction of houses to the below poverty line and
homeless people under ‘Pradaan Mantri Avaas Yojana’
Scheme. The program is being held for 3 days. On the first
day 1351 applications has received from the applicants.
The Commissioner himself collected the applications
from the public. Further, The Commissioner created
awareness among the applicants/beneficiaries about the
process of sanction of houses, beneficiary amount, loan amount provided by the banks and
subsidy amount provided by the Central and State Governments. All the homeless people who
have annual income of Rs. 3 lakhs and below can apply for this scheme.
Chittoor City as beautiful town:
From the date of joining to till now, Sri Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor Municipal
Corporation has completed the inspection of all the 50 divisions in the city. After inspecting all
the divisions in the city, the Commissioner has found few problems in certain divisions and
decided to allot every 10 divisions for each municipal officer (Nodal Officer). From 1st to 10th
divisions to Smt. Srilakshmi, Assistant Commissioner, from 11th to 20th divisions to Sri
Nagendra, TPO, from 21 to 30 divisions, Sri Ravi, Revenue Officer, from 31st to 40 divisions, Sri
Ramana, A.E., from 41st to 50 divisions, Sri Ramana, D.E. Whatever problems relating to lights,
roads, water, sewerage canals etc., will be looked after by the concerned official, who were
allotted for that division.
It is further observed by the Commissioner that posters, flexis and banners are
displayed by the various people in city without taking prior permission from the Municipality.
Hence, the Commissioner has appointed a staff of Municipal Corporation to each area to
remove them. The Commissioner admonished that, if anyone displays the
posters/flexis/banners without taking prior permission from the Municipality, strict action will
be taken against them including jail term.
The Commissioner has decided to paint the walls of Public buildings, Government
offices, schools with beautiful arts like famous personalities related Chittoor etc. For this
purpose, a painting agency from Vijayawada has nominated and got the tender.

Job Mela on 25th June:
On 21.06.2018, Smt Katari Hemalatha, Mayor of Chittoor Municipal Corporation and Sri
C. Obulesu, Commissioner, announced in the press
conference held at Mayor’s chamber that job mela will
be conducted by the APSSDC through Model Career
Centre on 25.06.2018 in the office of Chittoor Municipal
Corporation from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All the interested and
eligible candidates from the background of Inter,
Degree, B.tech., M.tech., D.Pharmacy, B.Pharmacy,
retired Army, BSF, IAF etc., can attend for the job mela.
The selected candidates will be placed at Tirupati,
Chittoor, Palamaneru and Sri city.
Plastic ride at grocery shops:
On 21.06.2018, Sri Jaganath, Sanitary Inspector,
Chittoor Municipal Corporation has conducted raids on
several grocery stores and warned the shop owners
regarding usage of plastic covers below 50 microns
thickness.
Applications are invited for Aadharana programme:
On 21.06.2018, Sri Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor Municipal Corporation, in an
announcement announced that applications are invited from the skilled unemployees in the
age group between 18 to 50 years, whose income is Rs. 2,00,000/- and below to get bank loan
with Government subsidy to procure hand tools and other small equipment for their hereditary
profession/for self-employment purpose under Adharana-2 programme launched by the State
Government.
Encroachments were removed:
50 families living in Durganagar Colony had
occupied the sewerage canal areas and constructed
compound walls for their homes. As per the Master
Plan, the colony road must be at 60 feet wide but it
was only 40 feet there. The authorities of Municipal
Corporation warned them several times against this
issue but they ignored. Hence, as per the orders of
the Commissioner, the T.P.O. along with the Surveyor, has demolished the encroachments on
21.06.2018.

Employment to unemployed people:
On 25.06.2018, Mega Job mela was conducted by the
APSSDC through Model Career Centre in the office of Chittoor
Municipal Corporation from 9 a.m. The job mela was
conducted to provide employment to the unemployed eligible
candidates in 13 multinational companies/private companies.
Around 1811 candidates
were submitted their
applications and participated in the job mela. Interviews
were conducted to the applicants from 10 a.m to till night.
After finishing the interviews, the Commissioner and the
Mayor had provided call letters to 285 candidates who were
selected for various companies. The call letters will be
provided on the next day for another 351 selected
candidates.
Tap connections without deposits:
On 25.06.2018, the Commissioner has conducted a
meeting with the staff of Engineering Section. In the
meeting the Commissioner has said that 10 special teams
were constituted for providing tap connections to each and
every house in the city, where there is no tap connection.
Each team should give nearly 50 tap connections in each
ward per day. The Commissioner also said that, if property
tax for 6 months is Rs. 500/-, give tap connections under BPL
category, otherwise give in general category. The Commissioner further stated that the tap
connections will be given without any deposit.
Appoint teaching volunteers:
On 25.06.2018, Smt Katari Hemalatha, Mayor and Sri Obulesu, Commissioner, Chittoor
Municipal Corporation has conducted a meeting with Municipal school Head Masters at
Corporation Council Hall. In the meeting the Mayor and the Commissioner have said that the
Government has issued orders to appoint teaching volunteers, wherever there is shortage of
teachers, with a remuneration of Rs. 7,000/- for high school teachers and Rs. 5,000/- for
Primary school teachers. Hence, the authorities have ordered the Head Masters to engage
teaching volunteers on contract basis.

Inspection of Corporation school’s mid-day meals:
On 26.07.2018, Smt Katari Hemalatha, Mayor and Sri R.
Subramanyam, Deputy Mayor have inspected the mid-day
meals scheme at Jai Hind School and Bayya Anjanesetti School.
The Mayor has ordered the concerned authorities to supply
quality food to the students. During the course of inspection,
the Mayor has interacted with the students and served meals to
them.
Standing committee meeting:
On 26.06.2018, Sri Challa Obulesu in an announcement announced that Standing
Committee meeting will be held on 27.06.2018 at Council hall and requested the committee
members to attend the meeting.
Inspection by ODF team in the city:
On 26.06.2018, Quality Control of India team has conducted a ground level inspection at
various places in the city especially in the slum areas, river areas and commercial areas to
submit a report to the Central Government to declare whether the city is Open Defecation Free
or not under ‘Swachha Bharath Mission”.
Commissioner’s visit:
On 30.06.2018, Sri Obulesu, Commissioner of Chittoor Municipal Corporation, has
visited several areas in the city and created awareness among the public on sewerage and
water issues. The Commissioner has requested the public to follow personal hygiene and not to
throw garbage everywhere instead drop them in the specific areas where dustbins are there.
After that the Commissioner has inspected sanitation works and a Reservoir opposite to JP
Office.
Further, the Commissioner has conducted a meeting in his chamber with Engineering
Staff and enquired about what type of works have been doing under the financial grants and
how much of funds are available with them now etc.
Smt. Sarada, T.P.S., transferred to TMC:
On 30.06.2018, the Government has issued orders to transfer Smt. Sarada, Town
Planning Supervisor of Chittoor Municipal Corporation to Tirupati Municipal Corporation.
