9.2 General Logic The Sauer Transmission control unit controls the hydraulic pump and consequently the incoming - outcoming movement of the enabling signals supplied by the control unit Ecu [Q11-Q12] and the gear switch to the control unit Ecu [In4-In5]. Note that the Sauer Transmission Control Unit uses the inching signal, consequently the first control must always be made on the working order of this sensor [Dashboard Panel]. The movement can only be carried out if both the stabilisers are up Ecu [In6-In8], if the negative brake command has been given Ecu [Q9 and if the seat microswitch Ecu [In10] detects the presence of a seated person. The first speed is always set by the Ecu [Q10] until the boom is completely retracted and lowered.

Note that the Sauer transmission contol unit Note that the Sauer Transmission Control Unit uses the inching signal, consequently the first control must always be made on the working order of this sensor [Dashboard Panel]. The movement can only be carried out if both the stabilisers are up and consequently the corresponding sensors are ON - Ecu [In6-In8], if the negative brake command has been given Ecu [Q9] and if the seat microswitch Ecu [In10] detects the presence of a

seated person. The signal corresponding to the seat microswitch input has a 4s de-energising delay controlled by a software timer to guarantee continuity in the movement of the machine. Note that the Sauer Transmission Control Unit uses the inching signal, consequently the first control must always be made on the working order of this sensor. The first speed is always set by the Ecu [Q10] until the boom is completely retracted and lowered Ecu [In11-In12].

10.2 General Logic The Joystick controls the movement of the boom according to the enabling signals received by the control unit Ecu [In1-In2-In11-In12]. The movement can only be carried out if the rollover protection alarm Ecu [In1-NC] (which can be by-passed for brief periods by means of the Rollover Protection OFF button I8 Ecu [In2] ) has not been activated or until both limit switches of the retracted and lowered boom are presnt Ecu [In11-In12]. The Winch and Radio Control Selectors disable several Optional functions which are dealt with in a later section of this manual; if they are not installed they are irrelevant in the boom control logic.
