Volume 8 Number 7 Radio Maria USA July, 2015

A Newsletter for Radio Maria USA -- National

The month of July is tradition-ally dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Jesus Christ. The feast of the Most Precious Blood of our Lord was instituted in 1849 by Pope Pius IX. We are reminded that by the shedding of His Precious Blood, Christ saved mankind from our sins.

“For this is my blood of the cov-

enant, which is poured for many, for

the forgiveness of sins.” Mt. 26:28.

The Precious Blood of Jesus cleanses us from our sins. In the Sacrament of Penance, we are for-given of our sins through the abso-lution of the priest. How powerful it

Feast reminds us that the Most Precious Blood of Jesus saved us from our sins

is that we are restored to the super-natural life of grace.

The early Fathers say that the Church was born from the pierced side of Christ, and that the sacra-ments were brought forth through His Blood.

“But one of the soldiers pierced

his side with a spear, and at once,

there came out blood and water.”

Mt. Jn. 19:34.

The Blood from the pierced side of Christ symbolizes the Precious Blood in the Most Holy Eucharist.

We wish to invoke the Blood of Jesus on ourselves, the sick and suffering, and the whole family of Radio Maria.

We ask the Lord to protect us from all evil. The Blood of Jesus has the power to protect us, and lead us to the life of grace in Christ, in particular through the Sacra-ments.

We ask the Lord to wash us clean in our mission of Radio Maria. We want to be faithful to our calling as a family, to our identity of a Ra-dio that brings prayer, Christian and human formation, news and music into the lives of people.

It is Our Lady’s Radio and she wants to continue to lead us to Her Son Jesus who has poured out his Precious Blood for us.

Message to Mirjana

“Dear children, I desire to work through you – my children, my apostles – so that in the end, I may gather all of my children there where everything is pre-pared for your happiness.

I am praying for you, that through works you can convert others, because the time has come for acts of truth, for my Son. My love will work in you – I will make use of you.

Have trust in me, because everything that I desire, I desire for your good, the eternal good created by the Heavenly Father.

You, my children, my apos-tles, are living an earthly life in union with my children who have not come to know the love of my Son, who do not call me ‘mother’ – but do not be afraid to witness the truth. If you are not afraid and witness courageously, the truth

Note: We await the final judgement of the Catholic Church to which we humbly submit.

will miraculously win, but remember, strength is in love. My children, love is repentance, forgiveness, prayer, sacrifice and mercy. If you will know how to love, by your works you will convert others, you will enable the light of my Son to penetrate into souls. Thank you.

Pray for your shepherds. They

belong to my Son. He called them. Pray that they may always have the strength and the cour-age to shine with the light of my Son.”

Message to Marija

“Dear children! Also today the Most High gives me the grace to be able to love you and to call you to conversion. Little children, may God be your tomorrow and not war and lack of peace; not sorrow but joy and peace must begin to reign in the heart of ev-ery person - but without God you will never find peace.

Therefore, little children, re-turn to God and to prayer so that your heart may sing with joy. I am with you and I love you with im-measurable love. Thank you for having responded to my call.”

VATICAN CITY — The Vatican said June 26 that, contrary to re-ports in Italian media, no decision has been made regarding certain doctrinal and disciplinary aspects of alleged Marian apparitions at Med-jugorje.

The Holy See Press Office Has not issued a formal statement on the matter, and in fact, officials of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (CDF) had not even met yet to review the findings of a three-year commission that investigated the Medjugorje phenomenon.

The controversy started June 24 after Italian news reports alleged that the CDF had held a feria quarta (ordinary meeting) on June 24 and had agreed with the commission

No decision has been made on validity of MedjugorjeItalian newspaper erroneous reports that commission report calls Medjugorje ‘not valid’

and decided that there is no super-natural activity at Medjugorje.

The reports originated from Vat-

ican watcher Gianluca Barile and were reported by other Italian news outlets.

Vatican Insider reported June 24 that the CDF did hold a feria quarta meeting, but that it took place on June 17, and the issue of Medjugorje was not discussed.

Thursday’s reports had also al-leged that the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith will recom-mend that clergy not sponsor or support events that presume the reality of the visions claimed by the Medjugorje “seers.”

Vatican officials are privately irritated by the latest speculation, which they say is unfounded and needs to be swiftly quashed by the Holy See Press Office.

Holy Mary, patroness of America

pray for us!As we prepare to celebate

Independence Day this July 4, we have to wonder how Our Blessed Mother, as the patron saint of America, must feel in light of the recent Supreme Court decision on same sex marriage.

On June 26, the U.S. Su-preme Court, by a 5-4 vote, decided that under the U.S. Constitution, all states are re-quired to recognize same-sex marriage.

“It is a tragic error that harms the common good and most vulnerable among us,” said Archbishop Joseph E. Kurtz of Louisville, Kentucky, president of the U.S. Conference of Cath-olic Bishops (USCCB).

The four justices who voted against same-sex marriage in-cluded Chief Justice John Rob-erts, Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Antonin Scalia, and Justice Samuel Alito Jr.

The five justices who voted for same-sex marriage included Justice Anthony Kennedy, Jus-tice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Jus-tice Stephen G. Breyer, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, and Justice Elena Kagan.
