Support for Notepad++ since 11.1.2.2
Notepad++ is a free and powerful text editor. This editor can be used for editing HFM Rules and Member Lists files (*.rle or *.lst).Notepad++ can distinguish between different languages source code can be written in. This is useful during editing to distinguish certain keywords by using another color or font. In order to provide useful visual aids while editing HFM rules you must set a user defined language that will recognize files with .rle and .lstextensions. To define HFM rules and Member Lists as a user-defined language in Notepad++ follow these steps:
Launch Notepad++Click View -> User-Defined DialogueClick Import and select ‘HFM Rules.xml’ (this is available %EPM_ORACLE_HOME%\products\FinancialManagement\Utilities
directory)Exit Notepad++Next time you launch Notepad++ under Language (menu) you should see ‘HFM Rules’ as a user defined language.
After setting the HFM user defined language if you open an existing HFM rules file or create a new one (with extension .rle or .lst) you will see the appropriate color coding. This is a great substitute for the Rules Editor that Hyperion Financial Management used to provide.

Past: optimized for 8-12 cores
11.1.2.4: Oracle tested with 40 cores hyperthreaded = 80 vCores
And 2 TB RAM!
Optimization is now more a function of the application design: better with symmetric entity structures, data and rules
