MarcettestartedhercareerwithGallegosinAugust2002atthecorporateofficeasaPayrollClerkinWolcottandthenwentontoworkatthemarbleshopinGypsum.SheiscurrentlyaProjectCoordinatoratthestoneyard.Re‐gardlessofherjobtitleorwhichdivisionsheworksfor,onethingthathasalwaysbeenconsistentwithMarcetteisherstrongsenseofteamworkandher“can‐do”attitudethatshebringstoanythingshedoes!Marcetteisconstantlyhelpinganyonewhomayneeditonandoffthejob.ShehasoutstandingcustomerservicetothepointthatshealmostmissedtheannouncementofherG3GoldAwardbecauseshewashelpingacustomerattheMemorialDaysale!Mar‐cettealsohandlesherdutieswithasmileandgrace;whetheritishelpingwithaccountingtasks,helpingmovestoneforcustom‐ers,oransweringquestionsforthemarbleshop.Inthecommunity,Marcettehascreatedquiteareputationasavolunteer.ShehelpswithGirlsontheRun,VailValleyFounda‐tion,PinkVail, various ski races, and local school functionswithher son.Evenwithherworkloadandvolunteering commit‐ments,shestillhastimetoworkouteverymorningat5:00am!Thecrewsheworksoutwitheverymorningisimpressedthatsheisoneoftheonlywomenthatisabletoclimbtothetopofthegymrope!Sheisalsoveryencouragingofotherstoreachtheirindividualathleticgoalsaswell.Marcetteisanavidrunnerparticipatinginlocalracesincludingmanymudruns,turkeytrotsandevenTheBoulderBoulder!WhenMarcette was asked why she does somuch for the company and the community she stated, “I just like working forGallegosandrepresentingtheminthecommunity.”PleasehelpcongratulateMarcetteforallofherhardworkforTheGallegosCorporation!

Division 10 employees tour around the Vail Village. Teressa Danzoll, Angela Suntken, Lisa Dodd, Paula Kurtz, Kris Keys, Suzanne Gallegos, Sheryl Gallegos, Rocio Martinez, and Courtney Armitage were treated to a jobsite tour around the Vail Village. Casey Kraft, Paul Siemonsma, and Shannon Gallegos showed them Zekelman Residence, Strata Vail, Arrabelle, Vail Valley Medical Cen-ter, 655 Forest Road, and Chalets at Vail.

Thank you to all that worked The Gallegos Corporation’s Annual Stoneyard Sale. This year was a huge success and we appreciate everyone that helped. Jose Garcia, Marcette Gordon, Danny Glover, Gary Herr, Jose Luis Lopez, Bill McKeon, Ce-sar Castillo, Sheryl Gallegos, Mario Becerra, Eric Sandoval, and Frank Gutierrez worked very hard on the event. Thank you all!

Gallegos in the Community Once again Gallegos Employees are took part in the Community Pride Highway Cleanup. 36 Gallegos employees and their families covered 2 miles of east and west bound I-70 and picked up trash for 2 hours. They did great work, and we are proud of the group’s dedication to the community.

Congratulations toHectorHerrera (60). Hector successfullyandprofessionally ran theVillaSportprojectinColoradoSprings,overcomingmanyobstaclesthatarenotnormallyseenonotherprojects. TheVillaSportproject isamassiveclubhouse that consistsoftwobuildingsthatareopen24hours,everydayoftheweekduringconstruction.Demol‐ishingtheexteriorofthebuildingsdowntothebareframing,reinstallingthesheathing,ledgestone,andstuccowhilekeepingthememberssafeandownershappywasnotbeenaneasytaskforHector. ToreducenoisecomplaintsHectorhadtorunaseparatenightcrew inaddition to thedaycrew. Ontopof runningcrewsdayandnight,Hectordealtwithconstantchangestotheproject’sscopeofworkaffectingschedulesandinstallationprocesses.IwouldliketosaythankyoutoHectorandhiscrewsforalltheirhardworkanddedicationtothisproject,whilekeepingapositiveattitude.

Victor A Jaquez, son of Abi Jaquez, graduated from Roaring Fork High School. His future plans are to start college at Colorado Moun-tain College, pursuing the dream of gradua ng with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administra on, while star ng his own busi-ness.

Oscar Landeros, son of Rosie Landeros, gradu-ated from Eagle Valley High School this year. Oscar excelled at foot-ball, and lacrosse at Eagle Valley. Oscar plans to move to Fort Collins to a end Front Range Community Col-lege.

Jesus Bernal, son of EduardoBernal, graduated from EagleValley High School, and nowplans to attend UniversalTechnical Institute in Avon‐dale, AZ, where he will betrained in the AutomotiveProgram, as well as for Gen‐eralMotors.

SteveLaven(21)alsowontheG3awardforApril.SteveJohnsonsaidinhisnom‐ination form “Steve Laven is always the irst in the yard. He knows somuchaboutconstruction,andisalwayswillingtohelpanyonewhoneedsassistanceoradvice.” StevehasworkedforTheGallegosCorporation forover17years,andhas been a dedicated, productivemember of his team for thewhole time. Hetakesonanychallengeson the jobsiteandcontinuesto learnnewskills. Steveconsistentlyproducesexceptionalworkandstaysontimeandonbudget.ThankyouSteve, for all of yourhardworkand congratulationson thiswell deservedaward!

David DonLucas is The Gallegos Corporation's third G3winner for April.DavidwasnominatedbymultiplepeopleintheDenverDivision.TomDer‐ry said in his nomination form “ David is always looking forways to in‐crease productivity and get more out of those around him. David doesquality work and always follows safety rules.” Steve Kalabany also said“David isoneofourtopJourneymanMasons,andfutureforemen.” DavidhasbeenwiththeGallegosCorporationforalmost5years,anddemonstrat‐ed loyalty anddedication to the company for the entire time. Heputs in100%effortatalltimes,andiswillingtotakeonchallenges.Hehasahighlevelofintegrityandworkethic.CongratulationsDavid!

Div. 60 foreman Fernando Velasco Gallegos and his wife Carmen Gallegos a ended the gradua on of their daughter Karen Gallegos from JFK High School class of 2016. Ka-ren played 4 years of High School soccer winning the MVP award her senior year.
