The G3 Gold Award is given annually to an employee who demonstrates integrity, commitment and leadership in hon‐ or of our founder, Gerald G. Gallegos. As recipient of the G3 Gold Award, Marcette will receive $500.00 cash and a gift of her choice. The award was announced last month at the Stone Yard Memorial Day Sale barbeque. Marcette was chosen from a strong pool of candidates who were nominated throughout the past year. Marcette exemplifies what it takes to be a G3 Gold Award recipient. Her strong work ethic, team attitude, and commitment to the community helped make her the candidate to represent The Gallegos Corporation Marcette started her career with Gallegos in August 2002 at the corporate office as a Payroll Clerk in Wolcott and then went on to work at the marble shop in Gypsum. She is currently a Project Coordinator at the stone yard. Re‐ gardless of her job title or which division she works for, one thing that has always been consistent with Marcette is her strong sense of teamwork and her “can‐do” attitude that she brings to anything she does! Marcette is constantly helping anyone who may need it on and off the job. She has outstanding customer service to the point that she almost missed the announcement of her G3 Gold Award because she was helping a customer at the Memorial Day sale! Mar‐ cette also handles her duties with a smile and grace; whether it is helping with accounting tasks, helping move stone for custom‐ ers, or answering questions for the marble shop. In the community, Marcette has created quite a reputation as a volunteer. She helps with Girls on the Run, Vail Valley Founda‐ tion, Pink Vail, various ski races, and local school functions with her son. Even with her workload and volunteering commit‐ ments, she still has time to work out every morning at 5:00am! The crew she works out with every morning is impressed that she is one of the only women that is able to climb to the top of the gym rope! She is also very encouraging of others to reach their individual athletic goals as well. Marcette is an avid runner participating in local races including many mud runs, turkey trots and even The Boulder Boulder! When Marcette was asked why she does so much for the company and the community she stated, “I just like working for Gallegos and representing them in the community.” Please help congratulate Marcette for all of her hard work for The Gallegos Corporation! The Gallegos Corporation’s Mission Lead our industry by creating value for our customers, employees, and communities through safe, quality construction of the highest professional standard. Division 10 employees tour around the Vail Village.
