2002 Accomplishments: April – Negotiations with Cypress Semiconductor concluded. USB
development kits were made freely available to GSA member companies.
July – Software frameworks for the Cypress USB development kits were released.
August – Beta device drivers for Microsoft WindowsTM Operating Systems were released.
September – Several USB device prototypes were demonstrated.
November – Phase I and II deliverables defined.
December – The GDS committee was partitioned into device-focused workgroups.
