2002 Accomplishments: April – Negotiations with Cypress Semiconductor concluded. USB

development kits were made freely available to GSA member companies.

July – Software frameworks for the Cypress USB development kits were released.

August – Beta device drivers for Microsoft WindowsTM Operating Systems were released.

September – Several USB device prototypes were demonstrated.

November – Phase I and II deliverables defined.

December – The GDS committee was partitioned into device-focused workgroups.

established.

April – Release of Phase I draft specification.

September – Release of Phase I final specification, test tools and driver/API.

September – Demonstration of Phase I USB devices at G2E.

November – Release of Phase II draft specification.
