created by some of the most renowned artists of Europe.Through their beauty and resilience, many of thesemedieval and renaissance documents survive today, and in2016, we have the rare opportunity to closely examine andstudy many of these artifacts of an earlier age. This fallthe McMullen Museum at Boston College, along with theHoughton Library and the Isabella Stewart GardnerMuseum, will exhibit a unique collection of manuscriptsheld in the Boston area. Illuminated Manuscripts: TheBeauty and Secrets of the Book is a course offered throughthe Woods College of Advancing Studies at Boston College.Enroll to study these manuscripts up-close and receivespecial access to these museums and their resources.
