Wearable Technology Summit: IoT and the Cloud

Smart City Cloud Security

Featured Themes for 2015

Wearable devices are dominating the headlines.

Both global heavy-weights and start-ups have

rolled out new products and advancements to

compete for a stake in health, sports,

entertainment, and other potential markets.

Gartner forecasts wearables to sell over 500

million units in 2020. What favorable opportunities

and hidden roadblocks are in this new frontier? In

this forum, leading players in wearable

technology will delve into their proliferating

ecosystems, provide insights on upcoming

wearable technologies, and address common

market challenges.

With mobile applications, the Internet of Things

(IoT), and cloud technology still highly relevant,

the theme of this year’s Summit Forum is “IoT

and the Cloud: Software to Hardware—The Next

Step”, and high-level decision makers from

leading global tech companies have been

invited. Together, the speakers and participants

will explore the integration of software and

hardware, brought about by mobile and cloud

technology and the IoT, and its profound impact

on the global industry and our lives.

The UN reports that more than two thirds of the

global population will be living in cities by 2050.

Governments around the world have turned

toward smart city planning to cope with the

unstoppable urban growth. In conjunction with

the expansion of the IoT, open data, and

automation, cities are collaborating with the ICT

industry to improve the efciency and

effectiveness of building, energy, and

transportation management. How will our lives be

changed by smart cities? Where can we discover

new business opportunities? Opinion leaders and

executives spearheading smart city initiatives will

take the stage at this forum to give rsthand

accounts on how technology and innovative

solutions will shape the cities of the future.

With the rise of wireless connectivity and the IoT,

cloud security is becoming a key concern for

individuals, businesses, and governments. The

increasing losses caused by security lapses

have prompted all sectors—ranging from IoT,

M2M, and mobile commerce to service

platforms and infrastructures—to re-evaluate

and establish comprehensive privacy and

security measures. Is your information safe? How

do enterprises prevent security lapses in order to

maintain the customer’s trust and uphold their

reputations? Catch up with the latest cloud

security developments from world leading

experts as they share essential tips and best

practices to safeguarding corporate privacy

and information in the age of the cloud.
