Dr. Jean Behar -International President

. Dr. Jean Behar, of Sainte-Adresse, France, is the interna-tional president. He served as aninternational director during1990-1992 and is a chartermember of the Le Havre(Expansion) Lions Club. Heserved as a 100% district gover-nor and council chairman andchairman of both his district's andmultiple district's Activities commit-tees. He is a founder and hon-orary chairman of Medico lionsClubs of France, which organizesassistance from French Lions clubsto developing countries. .

President Behar has been agraup leader at DistrictGovernors-Elect seminars and aspeaker at several seminars atfour international conventions. Hewas a Multi-national Coordinatorof Campaign SightFirst for WestEuropean countries, the associa-tion's representative to UNESCOin 1994-1997 and to UNICEF in1995-1996. President Behar alsoserved as president of the 46thEuropa Forum in 1996.

He was a radiologist, chair-man of the Department ofRadiology at the GeneralHospital of Le Havre, chairman ofthe College of Medical Imagingof Upper Normandy and chair-

--i man of the union of users ofI Imaging Technics in France. He ism the founder of a private hospitalfr and was an advisor to theo Appellate Court of Rouen.Z President Behar has received

Professionally, he is a memberof the insurance industry and, inaddition to his Lions activities,Vice President Fukushima isinvolved with the Boy Scouts, theSacramento Zoo and numerouscommunity youth recreation pro-grams and professional associo-tions. He and his wife, Denise,have a son and a daughter.

He is a member of theAlbany Lions Club and has beenDistrict Leadership Developmentchairman, Speaker's Bureauchairman and Multiple DistrictLong Range Planning chairman.Immediate Past President Ervin isa past director and trustee of theGeorgia Lions LighthouseFoundation and the GeorgiaLions Camp for the Blind. Vice President Moorehas been a presenter and discus-sion leader at numerousUSA/Canada Lions LeadershipForums and was a member of theForum Planning Committee in1997 and 1998. He was also agroup leader for the DistrictGovernor-Elect School in 1997and 1998.
