Position Description
Overview: The Manager of Technical Services assists the Director of Technology in directing the daily
activities of Information Systems and Telecommunications for all facilities within St.
Joseph's/Candler Healthcare System.
Responsibilities: Oversees desktop support, network administration, telecommunications operations, and a
team of PBX operators
Lead the daily operations of the Help Desk
Synthesize complex technical strategies into actionable plans
Ensure project management and change management processes are in place
Work with the Director of Technology to set desktop related hardware and software
standards
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree
Three or more years of experience in a technical role in Information Services
Two or more years of leadership responsibility
Understanding of desktop operating systems, network architecture, Microsoft server
environment, telephone systems (VoIP & non-VoIP), PC hardware and other peripheral
equipment
Customer service focus
Desired Qualifications: Technical certifications (A+, MCSE, CCNA/CCNP, etc.)
Project and change management experience
Healthcare experience

Downtown
The 2.2 square mile historic district
offers urban living with residences
tucked among cafes, shops, museums,
and art galleries. Housing choices in
this area include brownstones, carriage
houses, early 20th century wood-frame,
and brick single family homes or two
and three-story homes.
Midtown
This suburban area is a popular choice
for families and young professionals
due to its family focused atmosphere
and peacefulness. The area offers 20th
century craftsmanship and the
community is laid out around squares
and small parks. Midtown is home to

East & The Islands

Recreation
Savannah offers a wide range of leisure
activities. The historic riverfront is full of
restaurants, breweries, and shopping. Forsyth
Park has one of the world’s most
photographed fountains and a beautiful live
oak landscape.
The city also has some of the world’s finest
golf courses, both public and private.
Nature lovers will enjoy Skidaway Island
State Park, a barrier island on the Moon River
with hiking trails and excellent bird watching.
Tybee Island is known for its beaches and
visitors enjoy kayaking, paddle boarding, and
dolphin watching. The Pier & Pavilion is a
great sunset watching spot and hosts musical
events.
