2NSW Government Rainbow Waratah Logo Guidelines
Purpose
A rainbow version of the NSW Government logo is available for limited use during the 2021 Mardi Gras period to show the NSW Government’s support of the LGBTIQA+ community and to demonstrate our commitment to inclusivity and diversity within the NSW Public Service.
It is an official version of the NSW Government logo and represents the identity and values of the NSW Government.
Any use of the Rainbow Waratah logo during the 2021 Mardi Gras requires endorsement from the LGBTQIA+ sector group, Pride in NSW and must be approved by the relevant cluster representative and the NSW Government Brand team.
Any use of the Rainbow Waratah logo outside of the 2021 Mardi Gras period must be endorsed by Pride in NSW and approved by the NSW Government Brand team and Minister for Customer Service.
All staff displaying the Rainbow Waratah logo are representatives of the NSW Government and must act in line with the Code of Conduct.

NSW Government agencies and groups are only to use the Rainbow Waratah logo over the 2021 Mardi Gras dates (Friday, 19 February to Sunday, 7 March 2021) where use has been approved by the relevant cluster brand representative and NSW Government Brand team.
Agencies are responsible for ensuring usage ceases after this date.
Any costs associated with using the Rainbow Waratah logo should be minimised where possible and agencies should apply cost effective solutions. Any requests for use of the Rainbow Waratah logo will require the amount of any costs to be included.
Brands that have been granted an exemption to co-brand with the NSW Government logo and have been approved to use the Rainbow Waratah logo must ensure usage is in line with the NSW Government Brand Guidelines available on the Branding web page. Only the NSW Government logo is to be seen in rainbow colours.
Artwork using the Rainbow Waratah logo must be in line with the NSW Government Brand Guidelines available on the Branding web page.

Disallowed usage
• The Rainbow Waratah logo must not be used for instances where approval has not been granted by the cluster brand representative and the NSW Government Brand team.
• The Rainbow Waratah logo must not be used outside the Mardi Gras period. Agencies are responsible for ensuring that usage ceases.
• The Rainbow Waratah logo must not be used alongside other versions of the NSW Government logo.
• The Rainbow Waratah must not be used on social media profile pictures, professional networking profiles, or email signatures of individual staff members.
• The Rainbow Waratah logo must not be used for any item or event that is not supportive of the LGBTIQA+ community.
• Additional Rainbow Waratah logos should not be created, including agency lock-up logos or standalone brands. There should only be one Rainbow Waratah logo on all communications.

Minimum size and clear space requirements
Sizing: minimum sizing requirements must follow those used for the NSW Government logo. Refer to the NSW Government Brand Guidelines available on the Branding web page for more information on these.
Clear space: ensure there is clear space around the Rainbow Waratah logo that is at least the height of the ‘N’ in NSW.
Print applications 100% height of the ‘N’
Screen applications 50% height of the ‘N’
