Mrs. Kerr
Dear Peace Families, Welcome to March and a hope for some SPRING weather around the corner! As we begin the season of Lent, we reflect on becoming closer to God and anticipate a wonderful Easter for all. Last month was action packed with fun activities like our cheer camp, Mystery Dinner Theater, eighth grade trip to Charleston, and our pep rally for our boys and girls’ 7-8th grade basketball teams who both ended up finishing second in the season and second in the tournament. We are ready to cheer on our cheerleaders who will perform at the WPL Showcase on Saturday, March 2 at 9AM at CCHS. We also enjoyed applauding the many accolades earned by our students. Among those were our Math Day Team, our spelling bee winner fifth grader Jana Schodzinski, our Lions Club Student of the Semester Chaz Frizzell, and the 2019 Aquinas Winner Braden White-latch. We are so proud of all of our students as they have continued to work hard and show excellent effort throughout this school year academically, spiritually, and athletically. To watch them succeed and learn is the best gift of all. Our students are a great reflection of the dedication of our teach-ers and families to create a wonderful school rich in catholic identi-ty, academic challenges, and community responsibility. Please know we couldn’t do it without you giving of your time and talents each day. Thank YOU! This month we invite you to join us for stations of the cross on Thursdays during the school day (please refer to the calendar for times). We also hope to see you and your family at our Knights of Columbus Fish Fry on Ash Wednesday and Fridays during Lent. This is a delicious meal, great time for fellowship and a wonderful way to show our Knights we appreciate all the work they do for us throughout the year. Mark your calendars for April 13, when we will hold our first Trivia Night. We have some fun plans up our sleeves to make this an EXTRAORDINARY night out and great fundraiser for the school. Make it a great month! With Peace,

Plan on bringing your friends to this super fun -raiser for OLP! Plan to attend our first ever Trivia Night at Peace on Saturday April 13th in the Peace Family Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and game begins at 7 p.m. Oh, this is not your mother’s Trivial Pursuit game! Think more way more laughs, more challenges, prizes, and good food. We will have a contest for the best themed table. YES, think of a team name and fun theme to decorate your table—birthday party, sports, country, elegance, etc. Go all out (or don’t worry about decorating and incorpo-rate that in your team name. Hmmmmm?). Watch your Thursday envelope this month for a registration flyer. In the meantime get your team together. You can have up to 8 players on a team. The evening will also include a Not So Silent Auction with class art projects; 50/50; tail-gate food; pop; and water (BYOB).
Trivia Night April 13th!
Please, join us for our school Masses set for 8:30 AM: March 1st, 6th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.

Stations of the cross: March 7th, 14th, 28th (Possibly March 21 time TBA)
Mark your calendars—Our seventh and eighth graders will present the Living Sta-tions at 7 PM on Friday, April 12th. If you have not attended this meaningful even-ing before, make plans to go this year. You will be impressed.
Set your child up for success! Terra Nova Testing will be held for our K-8 students March 11-15. So mark your calendars now and make sure your child will be here (so as we said at the beginning of the school year - no doctors appointments or similar, please). We encourage all of our students to make sure they have plenty of sleep and eat a good breakfast each day during this week. Students must be on time in the morning. Morning announce-ments will be at 8:15 AM and testing will begin promptly at 8:30 AM. We appreciate your cooperation. Together we can prepare our children for success!
ACRE Testing set for April As we finish the Terra Nova testing this month, we turn the calendar and will be assessing our students in grades 5 and 8th with the ACRE test on April 3rd. The ACRE is a national religion test. Again, please make sure your child is here for the full day and on time. FUN FACT: Our Lady of Peace 8th Graders have scored the highest each year for at least the last 13 years! AND... our fifth graders have consistently finished in the top three.
